The snow is falling here with freezing rain expected soon.

Haven't quite got motivated to go out and start installing the spare rear wheel with new Avon and the "still in the box" Bushtec trailer hitch on Misty Bits yet. But I do have the woodburner stuffed with locust and ash so it should be comfortable when I get out there.

In the meantime I came across this riding video of long distance trail riding in the West. It's a great thing to watch on a cold winter day.

Enjoy.

That was an excellent video! Yes, probably a young man's game, but what a ride. I haven't ridden a bike with knobbies since I was 18.....I really miss it!

I would consider those enduro tires (or whatever they call them nowadays) these I would consider proper knobbies.

Thanks for a good ride vid. Would loved to have done a ride like that when I was younger. Family obligations took precedent at the time.
I gave up the off road fun a while ago. It took too long to recover from what I would consider a good ride.
Most of my enduro bikes sported full knobbies. Non DOT rated and was never stopped for running them. I usually spent more time in the woods than on the road. I sure miss it.

Wish I could do a ride like that, love it, but my spine just can't handle that anymore.....

Great video, nice to follow along and daydream!

Looks like a good adventure....not so keen on the long flat plains but the rest looked good to me.....

that rock on the track would be a nervous moment especially as we have lost a bike over the edge before....quab bike around a fallen log and the rider clipped the log trying to stay away from the side.... recovered it with roped and pulleys the following weekend  but it was a wreck with broken diffs etc
