After going across the river to do the chores for mom I went to work in the Bronx for a spell, then came home and decided to take a hike with the dog  Technically I was in the Rockefeller estate for not much more than an hour,  a good place to let the nature speak to you  or just let it be while you walk.

One of the great things about this area is the hiking or just taking a walk of minutes or hours. It was 34 degrees, too much salt and road ice and potholes now so although I would rather be on a Valkyrie, taking a several hour walkabout in the woods or the Rockefeller trails in Pocantico Hills is pretty good.  This area abuts the headless horseman area of Sleepy Hollow. Did not see a horse but saw horsepoop lol

That's a cool bridge there at Poncantico...

It reminds me of the Poinsett bridge in South Carolina... the bridge is named for
Joel Poinsett, the guy who brought back flowers from Mexico that became known
as Poinsettias, ... it is the oldest bridge in South Carolina, perhaps the entire South...
