She is walking around like a peacock, strutting and nodding.  Like she's David who just knocked out Goliath.

Amazon will not be opening its new headquarters in Long Island City, NY.   Cortez et al decided it was wrong to give Amazon tax incentives.

So now, 25,000 jobs won't be coming to NYC.  25,000 homes/apts won't be built, sold, rented.   New grocery stores, movie theaters, McDonalds, gas stations, cabs, bars, coffee shops, bodegas, schools, buses, etc, etc, AND ALL THE JOBS THEY CREATE won't be moving in because they didn't want to give a retail company, that doesn't pay taxes to begin with, tax breaks.

She and her ilk can't see past the tip of their noses, yet are forcing businesses out over corporate taxation.

HOW DID IT ALL GO SO WRONG?

Added (Sorry Chris, didn't see the other thread before I posted this. )

Please let her continue, other cities/states will reap the rewards.
I am not on board with all the tax incentives I see politicians giving away as it is a way of pushing the tax burden off on the local populations.

She, like a whole ignorant following doesn't understand taxes at all. She really thinks that if she refused to give 100 bucks tax break then she has 100 bucks in her pocket for something else. It's truly amazing we can't send her back to high school.  Absolutely unfit to serve.

Uncle Bernie needs her to voice these rediculous ideas because no intelligent person would be willing or be able to with a straight face.

Ya' know you've gone off the deep end when hard left extremist Cuomo is calling you out, from the right!

I think it's great.  People finally can see the real agenda of the far left:

  • Ban air travel along with the beef and dairy industries to save the environment.
  • Abortion 'rights' also include infanticide.
  • Racism and rape don't really matter, unless you can use it against your political enemies.
  • Big corporations are all evil, but big government is divine.

What amazes me is that none of the dems (except Manchin) have the courage to denounce the crazies.  Surely some of the old timers who used to vote moderately now and then must be horrified by the path their party is on.

Fox News refered to the jobs as $150,000 a year which I assume is an average. I can only imagine the impact that could have on a states economy like Kentucky. I realize we aren’t in the running but I marvel at the lack of understanding AOC and others exhibited.

Kinda funny, that Amazon pays it's employees TOO WELL was one of their complaints!
They were worried that all that new money coming into lower class neighborhoods would cause the great evil of gentrification, making it where "vulnerable" poor people in those neighborhoods could no longer afford to live there.

$150,000 in NYC is not a lot of money.   It's pretty much middle class.  I would say you'd need 3 times that to be considered upper-middle class.

It looks like many of those jobs and tax $$'s will be coming to VA instead.

I know that is true and it is also why there is such a disconnect with the politicians from these high cost, high population, high electoral college states and the rest of America. Even though our cost of living is much lower, their are lots of family units trying to make ends meet on half that much and less.

It's always been a quandary to me, how the left tries to kill off the wealthy folks that they plan on have paying for everything uglystupid2
We're just entering that cycle in WI after the economy has been soaring from the policies of a Republican Guv for 8 years to a new former State Dept. of Education turned Governor's 180° plans. Support the cesspool of Milwaukee like all of IL does Chicago, reduce middle class taxes and raise them on the companies the middle class works for. Not going to be fun.

they are members of the UN Fifth Column and follow UN 2030 Agenda. AOC green deal and her talking points are almost word for word of it. Also AOC and others are Justice Democrats. green deal is part of their platform.  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Justice_Democrats
In the 2018 elections, 26 of the 79 candidates endorsed by Justice Democrats won their respective primary elections. Seven of these candidates won in the general election: Raúl Grijalva, Ro Khanna, Ayanna Pressley, Rashida Tlaib, Ilhan Omar, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and Pramila Jayapal.

Her youthful idealism.  Those are VERY kind words for Naive , brainwashed, and stupid.  Emphasis on stupid beyond repair.  Remember the adage, "You can't fix stupid"  she is a picture of it.

Its not all her fault though, its partly the system, infected her brain will illusions of rainbows and unicorns if we just give all our money to the government.  But she did have to believe it....lol

She's running Congress because the press gives her coverage. Her looney ideas make for good press. Her and her Socialist peers don't want people making $150,000 a year. They want people on the system. They want economical economy. Do you know why? Because they are to lazy to go out, put their back into hard work, and want to blame the wealthy for all their problems. Hopefully, she will not become a cancer.

yet what is her salary now 179K? didn't netflex just give her 11 million for her story? college she went to for 4 yrs, 75-100k?  she grew up and went to higher end schools in NY.  her dad was an architect, good $$$$ pay. she grew up well to do.  she was known to steal others tips at the bar.  good socialist whereas only the very top have everything.
