Were I Still capable I would Love to ride there.  cooldude BUT Not on a hard tail or a V-twinky.  Roll Eyes Ross and I and our respective first wives went and saw Easy Rider when it came out. After I got over the shock of that last scene I watched the people coming out of the theatre. I was NOT the only one with the stunned look on my face. Helluva flick. RIDE SAFE.

I played Dennis Hoppers bodyguard in a movie in my hometown of Houston in 1980.  Dennis was an awesome guy not stuck on himself and I hung out with him quite a bit..  And the movie? It sucked bigtime and I was cut out of every scene lol.

The 2 bikes in the movie always looked pretty stable apart from U turns. I reckon they did a pretty good job with the builds.

"...looked pretty stable apart from U turns..."

And bumpy roads (being a hardtail)!!

One scene when they were crossing a bridge filled with potholes the rear of Fonda’s bike shimmied quite a bit!
Fonda looked over at Hopper with a “that could’ve been an o’sh!t moment” look!

A lot of the close-up scenes looks like they’re only traveling 15-20 mph, but that's probably the way it's done in movies.

Don’t get me wrong, I think the movie was one of the best “bike” movies ever, just when I see it (and all movies) over a few times I start noticing things I haven’t in the first few viewings!

And IMHO Captain America is one of the best looking REAL Choppers made!
Not like the "long forked" bikes produced today (which is a topic for another thread).

One side note:
I often wondered what kinda shells/shot the old redneck used to blow the forks completely off the bike?

Remember, if you are on a bike and wreck with a car no matter how "in the right" you are you are going to lose. RIDE LIKE EVERBODY IS OUT TO GET YOU!!
