Well, Saturday we had an RTE and a nice breakfast in Jay Florida.  Then I had a service call to go to in San Destin, which is an ok ride through Freeport to the beach resort area.  Keith (Farside) went with me and my customer was surprised to see us arrive on our Valkyries.  It was a strange ride over because there was heavy fog over the water and almost none anywhere else.  We didn't ride in fog but it was all around us like Jurrasic Park.  I expected rain any second but it never came.

I had been to this house a couple days prior to scrub this horrible looking Teak table with bleach to irradiate the mold and other stains that had turned it into an eyesore.

So  I got to work oiling and sealing this thing.  Wow, what a difference.  Keith was a good helper and we got done in less than 2 hours.

Now that table looks like this

So we left out of there and I took Keith to my favorite lunch spot in that area.  Wine World.  I think we were quite the sight, two bikers sitting on the outdoor patio enjoying a nice glass of wine and a crab soup thing Kieth ordered.

As almost always the Valkyries attracted attention and we got to talk to a guy that wanted a bike but had a wife that was not for it.  We gave him some ideas.  LOL

Sorry no pictures of us here but this is the place

The sun sorta came out and we had a great ride home over the Freeport bridge and to one of our "twisty" roads.  It has like two and half curves but we take what we can get.  LMAO

Table looks great! Is Teak like many other woods - the heartwood of old trees is the good
stuff? I was at Wilmington NC recently and my cousin and my niece's husband  and I went
over to see the USS North Carolina... I guess its wooden deck is teak... nice wood...

Teak is an exotic wood, comes from hot wet climates like Philippines its extremely water resistant so outdoor furniture is made from it, but it has to be oiled or it will crack in a dry climate.

"we got to talk to a guy that wanted a bike but had a wife that was not for it"  My best friend use to be a yacht broker. He use to tell me he could make a good living if it wasn't for that statement. Substitute boat for bike.

Jeff, it was a really great Saturday RTE with VTX Bill, Steve and yourself. I"m really glad we do the every Saturday RTE to catch up with all the guys.  Wink The hour + plus ride to San Destin after words wasn't bad at all, actually I enjoyed it. Your account really loves your work as Melondy treated you like family. The quality work you do for your clients is Outstanding. cooldude I look forward to Wine World on the next trip as well. It was a blast sipping our wine in our MC gear while sitting and watching folks checking out the bikes. I loved it when they spotted us then coming up to us to discuss the bikes. The ride back was spectacular, especially with very little others on the road once we got away from the tourist area of the beach. Thanks for posting and Great to see your work first hand!  coolsmiley

What is this "ride" thing that you speak of?

Between rain and snow that isn't happening around here.
