I suppose this makes his brains leak out easier. That or you have Dumbo ears that give you trouble in high winds. The picture in the article is NOT representative. This is what they're talking about. ...for aesthetics. Whose aesthetics? The insane? And it's not the inner ear.

I've been tempted to run up to someone with gauged ears and put a padlock in there....
But that'd be a NAP violation so I just think about it.....

And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from theeAesthetics my ass. It's because you're looking for attention....because you're special. Mine continue to get fuzzier with advancing years (freeking monkey ears ) But I just drag the razor down them from time to time (carefully). It's not that much work.

Dad always told me growing up if I got an ear ring like a few boys did in high school back in the 80's, he would take a pliers and rip it out (and he was serious). I never would even consider it, but wonder what he would be doing rolling over in his grave on this holes in ear thing.... I also think nose rings even those little studs sticking on the side of a nostril are disgusting even for girls.

I have hair growing out of my ears also. But, I'm way too scared to shave my ears. I've thought of braiding a ponytail out of it though. As to the dude who had the middle of his ear cut out. The thing I keep thinking about it is, that I would get hung up on something. I get belt loops snagged, shirts caught, etc. Having a basketball hoop on each side of my head seems like a recipe for disaster.

That's just for the ones growing out of the outer edge of the ears.
Inside the ears and nose, I use one of those little battery trimmers.

I use the razor on mine but if that scares you they sell a little device for trimming nose hair that would work well and safely.

Dad always told me growing up if I got an ear ring like a few boys did in high school back in the 80's, he would take a pliers and rip it out (and he was serious). Shortly after I got my driver's license I announced my intention to get my ear pierced, and had a similar reaction from the paternal parental unit. I went and bought a magnetic ear stud.... Put it in my nose... Walked in and announced "Well Dad, I didn't get my ear pierced!" .....I don't remember much after that...

One of my daughters dated a guy that for some reason had what looked like a small safety pin looped through his left eyebrow. I told him I didn't know an eyebrow could fall off so as soon as his eyebrow healed from being replaced, he could come back. My daughter was a bit perturbed with old dad but it passed rather quickly when she noticed her three sisters rolling on the floor laughing. If you want to know what it was like in the Schmidt house with all those females, just watch Tim Allen in "Last Man Standing" on TV.....then multiply the turmoil by 3-fold. Wouldn't have missed it for the world.

Once as a prank one of my son's put on a clip on earing and as he passed by my wife in the kitchen when she saw the earing she reached out and jerk ed it off real hard....he was shocked and said "Manoman you weren't kidding were you?" She wasnt.

The cutter has been arrested.
Could you please post a link to the arrest story? It would seem just a tiny bit hypocritical that this is illegal, but gender reassignment surgery or hormone treatment to change the apparent gender of people (which produce some irreversible physical changes), even treatment of minors, is perfectly legal. Maybe it's because the cutter doesn't have an MD behind his name.
