This is the America I know, the misconceptions and the truth and the real heart of America. All the chatter really doesn't mean that much but the truth the caring when push comes to shove is what made America GREAT. But the corruption kills, no less than a cancer draining the life out of America, but the true heart of all is to live happily.

Good video that shows the US today.

It's morning again in America.

Funny how much the Trump recovery after the Obama disaster mirrors the Reagan recovery after the Carter disaster...

No argument there, Republicans are always fiscally conservative..... until they get into power. While they're not quite as bad as the drunken sailors spending other people's money as the left, it's still inexcusable.

The entire federal government, and thus budget, needs to be drastically slashed back to the core components of what the federal government is authorized to do under the Constitution, and no more.

Otherwise this debt (From BOTH sides) will crush our kids.

If both sides would make a serious effort to go after waste and fraud, they wouldn't need more money.  They are not good stewards of our money.

I know it's popular to blame the different administrations, but isn't Congress in charge of funding?

Yea that's it.  Obama increased the debt more then the previous 43 presidents combined. He doubled it.  How is that even possible.  Let's talk about the dems green new deal or medicare for all or free college tuition. Not to mention taxing the rich 70+ precent. What do you think that would do to the economy?

For better or worse, POTUS does NOT have line item veto power. This has both good and bad .

I think we can't afford the "Green New Deal", and even if we could, I'm not so sure it would be good for those of us approaching or beyond retirement age.

It wouldn't be good for those of us who enjoy riding nasty, dirty, polluting Valkyries either...

I think if you do some basic research, you'll find that the lion's share of the debt increase under Obama was putting Bush's unpaid-for wars on the books.

https://www.forbes.com/sites/chuckjones/2018/01/15/obamas-federal-debt-grew-at-a-slower-rate-than-reagan-h-w-bush-or-w-bush/#1d62728e1917

There's lots more...

The comparison Serk made was between Reagan and Trump. It had nothing to do with Obama, the green deal, Medicare for all, free college, or taxing the rich.

HOW ABOUT AS A GROUP/CLUB/MEMBERSHIP.....WE FIND SOMETHING ELSE TO PISS AND MOAN ABOUT.

I realize I will sometimes interject my thoughts and opinions, but quite frankly I tire of all this rhetoric. It's not constructive, it changes noone's mind regardless of the facts presented so how about we just let it be and move on to something more important to us as a group. Nothing we do will change what goes on in D.C., in many cases it's the old adage of "them that has....gits!"  Makes no difference if it's politics or money.
