I have a table lift which is great! Sometimes though, all I want to do it get the tires off the ground for cleaning or stuff the lift is overkill for and frankly...... just a pain! Before getting the table I had a lift and an jack adapter. I still have the adapter but sold the lift ....... shouldn't have is what I'm thinking. They are on sale for $109 and I think i should snag one. Price is right but if I'm really not going to use it as much as I think I might.......still a waste of funds. I have a center stand but it's a pain to get the bike onto it . Some of you must have both lifts. Is it worth it , do you use both of them?

I understand what you are saying about getting the bike up on it. Try riding up onto a 2x6 or 2x8 under the rear tire. Makes it much easier. And is great for cleaning the wheels.

I took any old scissor jack and welded a base on the bottom and other plate on top to the size of the jack adapter, I also had a bolt welded to the crank where it attaches so I could use the air gun to operate it up or down.l It works great for lifting the bike wheel up, you just put a block of wood on the plate either front of back depending on which wheel you want up in the air. Works like a charm. This is done while the bike is on the table...

This is exactly what I have been doing and I always get a bit nervous doing it! Maybe I shouldn't lift the table so high. Like meathead says, a piece of 2 x _ will make the centre stand easier to use. If you like, I can ask around and see if someone can give you a good deal on one. what a great offer Kevin! Was almost going to hold you to it but I found a chunk of 2x10 so now i'm going to give meatheads idea a try.

Also... for just cleaning... look into one of those little pads with rollers on them that you set on the ground and then park your bike so the wheel you want to clean is centered on the rollers...

I too have a center stand I'm not some big strong guy but as often as I use it I don't have an issue putting it up I have move of an issue bringing g it back down. The more you use it the easier it gets as you learn the leverage points.

Do you have a grab rail to lift on?

Never had a center stand on a Valk, but I had a couple other heavy bikes with them.
What I did was, standing beside, I just gently rolled the bike backwards, then stepped on the foot pedal and yanked it up. The small rolling inertia backwards did a decent percentage of the work. But you can drop it this way.

Make sure both "feet" on the stand are on the ground. Many will keep the right "foot" off the ground because it feels as if the bike is falling away from you as you lower the stand to the ground.

That's exactly it!! Feels like your going to loose it. It's nice to get it up on the center stand as it saves space in the garage.
