It's called "Old Gold Cars & Part" and located in Old Town, Fl west of Gainesville. They have over 4000 vehicles....cars, trucks, all kinds of models and years. If I had the $$ I'd be paying a visit and picking out a nice project. Told my wife about it, her answer...."don't even think about it." Geez, I never said I was going to buy anything....sure was thinking hard though.  Wink  Take a look, see if you agree with me.

There used to be a rather large recyler on US441 north of Orlando that had nothing but Chevrolets going back many years. Another nearby was all Fords, don't know if either are still around, may have been owned by the same people.

Interesting that they call them antique autos and parts and their inventory was mostly made after I was born. I had always thought an antique had to be older than me!

I 've been past there a bunch of times.

I had no idea that they specialized in old stuff.

Old car part places are fun to walk thru.  Been in several over the years.

One of the more interesting, for me, was one in the Phoenix AZ area.  Not cars, but Bikes.  Went there with Number 2 daughter, only one in family that rides.  She needed a part for her 750 that had been vandalized.  I walked  around the parts yard, saw parts of several Valkyries.  Mostly just the frames and parts of engines.   But could have been more under several layers of parts that were not easy to see.

It's a shame to see that stuff rotting into the ground.  But yeah, I could spend some time (and money) there.

It is sad to see all the rust. Around here they just get sunbaked, not much rust.

Same for me it seems as though they don't allow visitors to the website except from the US. However, a VPN service soon got around that.

I got Dads 54 Ford 2 door when he traded it in on a 65 Rambler American. The Ford had a straight 6-300 C I-and 3 speed with over drive. First summer with the Ford I spent more time in wrecking yards-call em salvage yards now-then I did at home. And when I wuz home I wuz under it or under the hood. Learned a LOT of does and don'ts with that Ford. Kid with a limited budget wrecking yards were my answer for decent used parts. Shame some areas legislated them outa existence.  Cry I'm a mechanical guy livin in a computer world!  Lips Sealed RIDE SAFE.
