Route to lunch Saturday

I'm not yet sure where we're going to pass food on Sunday, everybody might have
to eat something in the morning before we leave to make sure they don't swoon...

So far I've been elected to lead the Sunday ride... I've done some scouting, and went out today
to do some more...

One important thing... I found a good breakfast place that will be open
Sunday morning memorial day weekend!  cooldude Today all I had, though, was
this Krispy Kreme "pecan pie" at a quickie mart... I don't care what they called it, it tasted like
a donut.

I was on 130 up towards Balsam for a while, and got behind some kind of tanker
truck, so I headed down this Duke Power road for a while for a break...

Jocassee lake is down below the fence, and I guess that is Whitewater Falls
in the background behind my bike...

I went down the East Fork road, there were lots of trout fishermen...

I mean, LOTS... the weather today was about as good as it gets for being outside...

This is the road down to Rocky Bottom...

Poor puppy... this is the middle of nowhere...

There's a famous (around here) Harley bar... The Road Kill Grill... it seems gone,
burnt to the ground, Ida know... there's still some interesting things at the turn...

It's not illegal to be a biker...

LOOK! A first generation Tacoma! Cool color too... Fishermen at Eastatoe creek...

Eastatoe valley  smitten

I stopped for a break on the side of the road and left the spy cam on...

I forgot not to make funny faces...

We'll have fun on the Balsam Ride...

Looks like it will be a great ride....love those back country winding roads cooldude

Funny thing...with my passion for fly fishing right up there with riding, I've felt conflicted many times over the years when out doing one or the other. When I'm standing in a river alongside a country road and a few bikes ride by I wonder if I should've hopped on the Valk that day instead, and conversely when I ride by a nice trout stream I find myself straining to have a good look-see as I ride by (sometimes taking a bit too long of a look...if the Mrs is with me I get a sharp jab, prodding me to keep my eyes on the road).
Have a great, and a safe ride cooldude

 Undecided

I did not see anything resembling a pothole in any of those pics.    cooldude

Am real happy for you that you are getting to enjoy your retirement in high fashion

Cant remember what it feels like NOT to have my teeth mashed by going over potholes
