My heartfelt thanks go out to Disco(Dave) and Ranimaker(Mark) for their help in securing a trailer hitch for me. Recall a short time back I posted a question re. anyone living near Glen Rose, TX and Serk suggested I post it on the Texas board so I did. A short time later I heard from Disco and later Rainmaker. It was concerning a hitch a guy posted on the Dallas Craigs List asking $100 so I jumped on it. My first contact was as he required....a text, on Feb. 28. I didn't hear from him so a few days later called and he answered. Told him I wanted it and he stated he didn't have a problem shipping to Florida, but can't get to it for few days so if I wasn't in a hurry he'd get to it later. I was fine with that but.....nearly a month went by with no response so I called and texted. Was beginning to wonder just what his definition of "a few days" happened to be. That's when I posted about anyone living near the Glen Rose area where it was located. During all this, I let the guy know I have a FedEx acct. and all he had to do was drop it off along with my name and address and acct. number. Even with no packing/shipping responsibility on his part he still didn't respond. I explained all this to Disco and Rainmaker and they took it from there. Mark, Rainmaker, met the guy where he worked today, paid him and dropped the hitch off at FedEx along with my info. The hitch should be here about this Saturday. I just sent some $$ to Mark via PayPal to reimburse him.

I can't say enough about how our members often go out of their way to lend a helping hand. Many of you have had first hand experience with this type of action, this isn't my first and probably won't be my last. Since I live quite a distance from both those guys I can't repay them directly, but you can bet I'll pay it forward as time passes. Mark and Dave, thanks again.  cooldude

Those Texas dudes are alright. I'm not a bit surprised at all. Them Florida dudes are alright too. I wouldn't have my Green & Silver if it weren't for Grumpy.  cooldude

Yep, Bill(Grumpy) is a good friend. When at a gathering we often have a long chat, two old farts spending quality time reminiscing. If I could ever get TJ out of Lake Flacid PLACID(always make that mistake  Evil) he could join in. Roll Eyes
