We are taking our Toyhauler this year and spending a little extra time out west. Was wondering if anyone had researched campgrounds in the area. Any information would be appreciated.

I have no first hand information on this place, but looking at some maps, this place is very close to ground zero:

My favorite camp spot 22 miles from Taos. www.sipapunm.com

We were thinking of camping and I looked at the campground that Serk mentioned.
Do a satellite search on that place, it looks like it is in an industrial area, not too appealing to me.
However, it is really close, even walking distance to ground zero.

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

There is a RV park west of town (Taos Pueblo) on 64, I believe, that I don't recommend. It was industrial and a lot of stone trucks hauling loads. Highway was very dirty and lots of gravel. Didn't appear to be the 'good' side of town also. But then again I only spent a half hr on that side of town.  crazy2

Some neat unique houses to see and also the gorge on the edge of town.
