My wife asked what I wanted or needed, nothing really but she insisted. So, I suggested a Rugged Geek jumper kit to carry in the saddle bag. She asked why I would need something like that if it's not going to be used right away so I reminded her we have a 12 yr. old SUV with 69k on it and have never used the jack or spare tire. I then asked if she thought I would be wise to take them out and leave in the garage. She reached over and pinched me under the arm where it really smarts so I asked what was that for. Answer...."I hate losing an argument so quickly." Me...."I didn't know we were arguing." Her...."I was, you just weren't taking part".....then laughed. It came a day late but that's OK, I wasn't going anywhere. Kind of a nice present though and I gave "proper" thanks.  Wink

Case is about the size of a laptop.

I have a 9 1/2" spread just to give an idea of the size.

This little jewel is the heart of the entire system, not much bigger than a larger cell phone.

Really neat carrying case and it's semi-hard shell so not easily crushed.

Dang, John. You could be one of those "hand models" or something. Mine look more like the wicked witch of the west's hands.

Grin Grin Good genes I guess, they now have 81 yrs. of wear and tear on them. Base of the thumbs are beginning to bark at times. I can remember during the war, my mother would have me stretch out on the sofa and she would work on my nails while we listened to the war news on the big floor model Philco. She then would massage my hands with something which usually put me to sleep. Probably why she did it.  Wink

Rob beat me to it (exactly).  I was thinking the same thing looking at those pics.

That clear skin is amazing; at 66 I'm covered with age spots (and can't get anywhere near the sun you do down there in FL).

I know... it sounds like some woman's hand cream commercial.

I have an age spot....on my middle finger of that hand. Look at the area between the base and first knuckle and you'll see a tiny spot there. You think maybe because it has had more exposure over the years.  Wink Right hand has one in the same spot. The hands have been kinda busted up a few times from running into "something stupid"....mostly when I was young.  Roll Eyes

Cool gift John.  I have a jump battery about that size but have not used for anything other than charging my cell phone.

BTW--funny all the comments about your beautiful hands.  No grease anywhere.  You sure you're a Valk owner (LOL)?

Yeah, I find it amusing as well. To all those with jokes about my hands....I think they're referred to as "mechanics gloves" or something similar.  cooldude

Definitely a nice and useful present.
I carry one in my saddlebags and I also got one for my wife's car and one each for both of my kids.
So far I have used it 3 times while at Daytona bike week, wife used it a couple of times and son twice. Out of all those times, twice was for our vehicles and the rest was to help others

BTW. John, I'm glad you have commercial type hands lol

Too bad you're not still around, need somebody to chat with from time to time since I'm not able to leave when I want. Don't have anyone around here except a few that walk their dogs in the evening, I usually prefer the dogs. Gets a bit depressing at times.  Smiley

could always use one of those mini jump starter kits, good idea to carry it and some of the even cheaper ones say 60-70 bucks can supposedly start a V8 vehicle if need be.  never know when the battery is going to die, especially on cycles.    cheapest I have seen is around 59 bucks for one, I wonder if that is so cheap not reliable???????  but reviews say they are good even at that cheaper pricing.

I did notice that go for the cheap ones, the ones I got cost around $135 at the time.
Worth the investment in my opinion

John,

I was impressed with those right from the git-go! Punisher had one with him on a road trip we made together, so I got one too PDQ. I've had to use mine a couple of times, and it sure saved my bacon! I hope you never need yours, but... at a minimum you will have the assurance aid is right there in your saddlebag! BTW, Happy Birthday!!!

In 2014 I saw a video featuring one of the (maybe "the"?) first ones of these, antigravity xp-1.  I was so impressed I bought 5 for my family members.  Amazing what they can do, especially considering I always previously kept 1 or 2 of those big bulky battery boosters, which usually died within a year.
I've had 2 of these antigravity boosters suffer from "battery swelling" (whatever goes wrong with the lithium battery, and they swell up, contained within a sealed pouch).  One was covered under warranty, the other not.
I'm currently looking to replace mine.  There are so many brands out there now that I don't know which one to get though.  I think antigravity is still one of the top contenders though.

Oh, Happy Birthday!
