Who cant love any dog?

You ask.  I give.  Some I do.  Some I don't.  Some I really don't.   Smiley

Agreed.

My son and his spousal unit have three pit bulls.  I don't like or trust them.
Yeah, I've been told they are not all bad.   Don't care.  They growl and I'll shoot them dead.

You would shoot them dead for growling ?  Shocked

As much as it pains me, I agree with Willow. There are some dogs I don't love at all ! (But having a crooked face has nothing to do with it)

I have owned a pit and I could tell him to gaurd and you would think he was gonna chew your leg off. But he was as gentle as a lamb. Wouldnt bite anyone unless they were a threat to me or him. Dont classify a dog by his breed.  The most dog bites happen by what dog? A freakin poodle.

I couldn't find a list that had the freakin' poodle at the top although the chihuahua regularly ranks high.

More important than number of bites may be the number of dangerous bites including fatalities.  The Pit Bull and German Shepherd rank highly in almost every list.

That said, there are certainly aggressive and non-aggressive dogs in every breed.  I'm sure it depends a lot on how their human has raised or related to them.  Some breeds are simply better equipped for serious biting.

I was informed by my wife tonight that a German shepherd running loose in the neighborhood tried to bite one of my neighbors today. Was scared off by another neighbor with a board. Mark my words if that dog comes after my grandkids it will die. Period. I don't care what breed it is.

I don't know why this always struck me funny but chihuahuas are not called chihuahuas in Chihuahua, they're called Chihuahuenos there.

LOL!  I'm sorry you feel that way about your opinions, Bighead.  I don't feel so about mine.

I actually didn't realize we were exchanging opinions as neither of us began with "I think" or "I believe".  I thought you were presenting what you knew from information you had found.  I was certainly relating what information I was able to find.  I was hoping you would be able to point me to some list confirming what you had said.

It was interesting that you countered the common preconceptions about one breed by attacking another breed.

That old adage about opinions and assholes is quite incorrect.  Everyone has many opinions but we are each limited to a single asshole.  Opinions shore up our perceptions but assholes only provide the service of expelling what we don't need.  I suppose that's not necessarily the only use for a small subset of the population.  The only thing that appears to be accurate of the adage is that assholes do sometimes stink.  I know that's certainly true of mine.

Yeah, she looks like she is about to take a hand off  2funny I like all dogs, I dont judge them by breed but only by deposition. There are good and bad dogs and that mostly related back to the owner and how they were raised.
