A day of Rainbows... a bit cooler weather with light rain and just a few rays of sun poking through the clouds now and then made the decision to ride or fish a bit easier for me today. An 8 hour shift on the lake with nary a sole to interrupt my solitude... just me and my thoughts... same mind-cleansing experience I get aboard the Valk on an extended solo ride on a long lonesome road somewhere in the middle of nowhere. It was a day of Rainbows

Has to be what God intended for all of us. I have a tendency to interrupt Gods plan for my life quite often.

I guess life is full of trade offs. Living where you do, your riding season is shorter than many, but on the other hand we have NOTHING like the glories of nature you enjoy. You're lucky enough to live in a place that we dream of visiting.

Very beautiful surroundings; I do miss my days of living in Wyoming and trout fishing in the high country lakes, they were minnows compared to your beauties. Thanks for sharing, one day I hope to be able to do some great fishing in your neck of the woods. Do you catch and release? I always enjoyed my minnows on the grill with plenty of butter, garlic, lemon juice, and a great portion of dill weed. Always enjoy your posts. Ride safe, Bill

Very nice! Looks like you had a great day. I have never really been much of a fisherman which is a little odd being I'm a boater then again no one wants to eat fish out of the Hudson River. This said this year we are moving our boat to the Ling island sound where there is excellent fishing. Sadly my father in law has not been doing well and recently moved into an assisted living facility he loves to fish and is a member of a fishing club near Atlantic city, he a a ton of gear which he has given me now I have to learn to fish hoping to catch diner while on board!

Hey Bill...yes, most of my trout fishing is catch & release. In BC all trout streams in the Spring and Summer are catch & release, single barbless hook only, while the small and large lakes allow barbs and quotas usually up to 4 fish per day. Over the years I've become strictly a fly fisherman, preferring the smaller, more remote streams and lakes...I do enjoy cooking up the odd one, but most go back if not damaged. If you ever do make it up this way, please don't hesitate to get in touch...would love to show you some of my favorite spots
