Reflective Rim Tape

Has anyone added high reflective rim tap to their Valk's?

I was thinking about doing the chrome colored "High Reflective" from DaveTaylor33 but was wondering if any of you had gone this route and are you happy with the results?

I don't ride a lot at night, but when I do I'd like to be noticed sooner rather than later  :)

Thanks

Might be a good idea if you can get it on straight. Otherwise, it might spiral going down the road and mesmerize people.

I wouldn't think getting hit from the side is much of a problem but it couldn't hurt.  Tape on the back of the bike is where visibility could be enhanced especially if your lights are stock.

I used white (side) and red (back) high reflective tape on my tagalong and George trailers.  Claimed reflects 5X brighter than other tapes.  Also used it on my popup flag on the mailbox - if the mail is delivered extra late - I can shine a flashlight up there and it shines like it's a light 300yds away.  I replaced the license tag with a flat sheet and the tape, after the JBweld failed so I welded the steel sheet to the dowel.

I haven't put that on my rims, but I see it being most helpful if your bike is parked on the side of the road at night.

I make a point of ensuring my motorcycle jacket, chaps, helmet, and gloves have reflective elements on them.  It helps drivers see me when I'm on the bike, and it would help them see me if, say, I hit a deer and end up lying on the road unable to move.

For my bike, I rely more on lights for conspicuity.

For my truck and van I have 2" red and white reflective tape on the edges of the doors and on the tailgate jamb, all of which are only visible when the doors are open.

My (then) new helmet with reflective tape applied by me:

You could up the game a little further and go the route I did for my new Valk.

Just ordered from custom taylor 33. I was happy to learn that they now come in mixed sizes (new to me anyway) - I got the 17" & 19" set for my 2015 Valk. No longer have to order two sets.

(following this...my OCD side has major concerns about getting it on symmetrically)
