I picked up a nice HitchDoc type trailer hitch in hopes I could make it fit my Tourer. Today I've decided to quit trying. First, I have Cobra fender grab rails so the fit is a bit different. Next, I have saddle bags and Honda guard rails. The bottom end of the "boomerangs" interfere with the saddle bag mount center cross piece and the center section of the guard rails. My question is....has anyone ever been able to get around that issue. If so, please share your experience. I realize there probably is more than one version of the hitch that will accommodate/work around the two issues mentioned. I could probably rig something up by removing the two center cross pieces....something I'm not really willing to do.

I was initially going to fab up two short strips of flat stock that would let me hang the side pieces down and back about 2.5" and then cut a piece to attach from the rear "hanger" to the forward fender bolt. In doing so it would prevent the hitch from moving fore/aft. Problem with that is it still interferes with the two center cross pieces but at least would clear them below their resting position....and look ridiculous. I'm open to any ideas, suggestions, ridicule, or offers.  ;)

I ride a motorcycle because nothing transports me as quickly from where I am to who I am.

Offers like "Want to sell it?"
It will probably come to that but want to see what suggestions might be offered first.  :cooldude:
