Good place to which to ride. Glad you had a good experience.
If you like spicy try the nuggets with the Zesty Buffalo sauce. I cut each one in half so I can get each bite fully dipped.

I’ll try that next time.

have you tried a Culvers restaurant? Next time? or is that only a midwestern area?
I still remember when they first opened their first restaurant in Sauk City WI being the first one around back in the 80's before they expanded their chain. The buns were bigger and so were the burgers, but still good just a tad pricey is all, but what is cheap anymore?

Culvers is here in KC, and they had just opened a store in Wake Forest NC before we left.

Chick-Fil-A's are not in our portion of OR. Though I thought I heard that they were going to open a place in Medford. Only 80 miles away.

If we are just comparing the food. KFC wins hands down IMHO. Can’t beat their coleslaw.

Chicken in my part of the world. (NW Iowa)
#1 Pizza Ranch. Actually known more for their chicken than pizza which is pretty good too. Chicken is amazing. Broasted. Got these places all over. Go there on occasion. They have an awesome buffet. Passing through the midwest this summer and looking for a good lunch or dinner, this should be on the list of where to go to eat.
#2 Chic fil A. Very good chicken sandwiches. Sioux City is closest. Rarely go there. I have to be in Sioux City, which is fairly regularly, but they are always unbelievably busy. ALL THE TIME. I usually don't have that kind of time to dive into the madness. But it is good stuff.
#3 An Honorable mention really. KFC. We had a number of them 20 years ago or so. Most here have gone out of business. Even the ones in Sioux City.
Like everybody else, we got our local places that have great chicken too.
But Pizza Ranch is hard to beat. It is the standard my wife uses when comparing other chicken places.
Some come close but no one beats the Ranch.

What no KFC??? Popeyes and chickfilet is a toss up on which one is better, but KFC is surely cheaper and get more food for your money. chickfilet (spelling?) is around but not as many and good for something different for a change. As far as fast food restaurants have only been mostly to Culvers in past few years do not eat out much sure beats grimmy mcd's and burger king and wendys hands down. Hardees use to be popular way back when but most have closed their doors around here. Long John Silvers is different as well have not eaten there in a long while but something different for a change but not many around here either.

So, where do you go for the best chicken! There are two places (except for pizza/fast food places). One called the Chicken Shack, where we normally go. The other is Wingers. Ate there once, wasn't impressed. Hey we live in small town, 20K or so. We do have several good Rib eateries, and half a dozen pizza places. What more do you need.

I consider a BIG town anything over 10K population. If I get into a REALLY big city like Milwaukee, that makes me a little nervous....

Within a 10 minute ride of home I have my choice of Chick-Fil-A, Popeyes, Church's, KFC, Raising Cane's, Chicken Express as well as the other usual suspects (McD, Wendy's, etc. etc. etc (And you can't swing a dead cat without hitting a decent Mexican restaurant around here too. Probably why my clothes keep shrinking.) On the rare occasion Popeyes gets our order right I like it, but the local establishment, the rumor is if you don't order in Spanish they intentionally mess it up. Complaining to management does nothing. The last 2 orders (Both a year or so apart) we were served Chicken Tartare, and acted like they didn't understand me when I was trying to tell them that chicken should not be pink and cold inside. The more recent time (And last!) our $40 order of chicken fingers was instead chicken on the bone, and of my family of 6 only 1 will eat anything on the bone. And once again they acted like they didn't understand what we were talking about when we tried to rectify the situation. KFC, well, their coleslaw is really their only saving grace; we go there once or twice a year just for the 'slaw..... There was a famous man that said that no one could make better 'slaw than KFC, his name was Edward Cole..... It has become known as Cole's Law. Church's is..... there.... no more said on that. Raising Cane's is an excellent up and coming regional chain that concentrates on boneless (Yay!) has great 'slaw, and great dipping sauces. Chicken Express is a most excellent regional chain, chicken tenders, catfish and home cooking sides with cream gravy being the staple side. Very good stuff, and a frequent part of our rotation. Chick-Fil-A is, well.... It has been covered pretty well in this post and elsewhere. It's good stuff, the main downside is, in the immortal words of Yogi Berra that "Nobody goes there anymore, it's too crowded!" Dang, once again I got to typing and I didn't stop until I'd created a wall of text...

When I moved from Idaho to Wisconsin in 2006 my wife and I stopped into a Culver’s in Green Bay for the first time. We were standing in line and my wife asked me what I thought a butter burger was. The lady in front of us explained what they were and quoted that “Wisconsinites love their dairy products”. We still occasionally laugh about that.

They all have at least 1 fav item that I like such as Sonic for shakes Steak and shake for anything Red Robin for my fav burger (was there last night) This list could go on and on.
Like I said,, I like them all for one thing or another.
