When I only had one motorcycle I rode it enough through the winter to keep the battery charged.  With 4 bikes they don't get as much use when it's cold.  So I end up replacing one battery nearly every year.

This year my Valkyrie Interstate's battery bit the dust.  Unfortunately Walmart doesn't carry these anymore, so I checked Rocky Mountain ATV and they had a new Yuasa in stock for $87, a pretty good price.

I hadn't ordered from these guys for 2 years.  Back then they were Jake Wilson, then became Riders Domain, and now are owned by Rocky Mountain ATV.  I was surprised that I was able to logon with my old Jake Wilson ID, and even more surprised that my old $16 purchase credit was still active.  That's pretty impressive service, and I'll be buying from them again.

Put your bikes on Battery Tenders all cold season and they will last 5-7 years.

A battery maintainer would be better.

There ares some out there that have multiple outputs. Just buy/make some longer leads, so you can reach the bikes in a row, rather than take all the batteries out (unless you'd rather do that for space).

Something like this.

Funny you should mention this. From Amazon an American Made Yuasa with 240 CCA to the house just missed 80 Dollars. Bout the best price I could find. RIDE SAFE. B T W-my other Yuasa crapped out after 7 years.

For those concerned with fire (or other troubles), I prefer running individual tenders to each machine/battery, rather than one big multi hookup unit.

I've now been running single BT Jr's to 3-5 machines for well over ten years with no issue of any kind.

And all my machines are not in the same building.

Same here.  Due to limited garage space one bike is parked in my cargo trailer, with no AC nearby.

Sometimes it is hard to make sure that it is American Made, even when buying from a dealer.

Hell, I thought they were made in Japan. I thought the knock offs were Chinese. Embarrassed

amazon.com I think is the cheapest for our Yuasa batteries as said prior.

NO way even not running much having multiple cycles the battery should only last 1-2 years, more like 3-6 years with the average timeframe (my experience) 5 years.

Their ad-Amazon-stated Made in America the box the Yuasa battery came in stated Made in America and on the case of the Yuasa battery it stated Made in America. And the New Yuasa battery looks surprisingly a lot like the old Yuasa battery. Old battery says Made in America on that case too. Kind of F Y I. RIDE SAFE.

I'm pretty sure Yuasa batteries for our bikes have been made in the USA for years.  I think I read that an Exide plant in PA makes them.

I probably wasn't clear about my battery life.  I have 4 bikes, and replace one of the 4 batteries nearly every year, though some years I don't replace any.  That means on average my batteries are lasting over 4 years, probably more like 5 or 6.  That isn't bad life at all.  I had one Valkyrie battery last for 9 years, but that's on the high end for any vehicle.

I've found that with 4 bikes, even in the summer one may sit idle for a month or more.  That makes it difficult to get optimum life out of the batteries.

I've had mixed results with Amazon and prefer dealing directly with motorcycle merchants.  With the better ones, a quick phone call resolves any problem.  If I receive a wrong part, I call and the right one gets shipped immediately along with a prepaid return label.

And delivery is faster too.  The battery I ordered from Rocky Mountain ATV Tuesday will be delivered today.  In my experience Amazon usually takes about a week.
