From tiling floors upstairs to expand the garage space in the basement this week. I took out a 10 foot section of partition wall between the existing garage space and then moved over about 13 feet and studded up an new partition wall which gives me an additional 260 sq ft of work storage space.

I had quite a bit of existing wiring to move in the wall I took out and finally got it all moved and back inside the wall cavities.

The hvac system will have to stay just where it is but I can work around that.

Not in their final resting spot, just in for a test fit, but while they take up a lot of floor space, the Rincon and the Turf Tiger will have a home and I will still be able to put my Chevelle and my Corvette nose to tail in the main portion of the garage, I think, I hope.

I’ll still have two very large living spaces on the other side of the new wall I’m putting up but that will have to wait a while as I get back to working on the main floor.

For now the Valkyrie is in the main floor garage waiting on Bigbf to come around to my neck of the woods.

John,

If that old adage is at all true, "Busy hands are happy hands," then you must be ecstatic!!! I applaud your initiative and imagination, and I certainly amire your energy! As for myself, whenever confronted with such needs, I say, "Time for a road trip!!!"

You certainly have taken on a huge project! Lots going on for sure, but I'm confident you'll do just fine. Glad to read that you and BigBF have worked out an arrangement... That project won't last forever (unless you're anything like me!), so I'm looking forward to sharing some wind with you... one of these days... Thanks for the update...

Looks good, make me envious. That single door, how about a double french door, and you can move your machines in/out through it.

HVAC in the garage? Where is the intake? Make sure you don't run the engines, or you'll pull exhaust into your house. An O2 sensor might be something you want too.

How dare you! HOW DARE YOU post things like this. You know how bad you make us look???  If my wife sees this there will be no end to "Honey do's" There should be like secret codes to look at this kind of stuff.

Looks like quite the project. I wish I had the time and talent. I definitely lack the talent part.

I am jealous (or just lazier).  My wife has been nagging me since 1993 to put up sheetrock in my garage still have since house new in 1993 just plastic wrap covering 3 walls of my standard 2 car garage with insulation rolls behind it in the studs.....  Looks like crap, but do not really care..... tickedoff

Our basement unfinished will be staying that way forever as well too much 'stuff' down there to finish it let alone walk much down there.... Embarrassed

The single walk door goes into a future living area. I have a 10x7 overhead door from the outside and I took out 10 foot of side wall in order to get the equipment in. No return air in the garage area.

I just wish I could bill someone for all the work this move has generated! Everybody has talents, mine just tend to lean to this kind of hands on work. Materials along are enough to scare my wife. When she starts in on me I just give her “that” look and say do you have any idea how much that will cost!!!???

Well you got away with it this long, I think you’re safe! If I had an unfinished garage I would be looking for something other than sheetrock  anyway. The ceiling in my old garage is 5/8 Sheetrock and after 30 years it’s getting lose and wanting to fall down. Do you have a walkout basement? If I had to go up and down stairs every time I needed access it wouldn’t get used much.

Not very good lighting but this is my walk out and just inside to too the left is where the work has been going on. So my main in trance to the house will be there and no steps to climb until bedtime unless I fall asleep in my recliner.

Just wait until that move to country! Try not to wait until you’re in your 60’s.
