Still have the VIN, and is it worth $25 to find out?

I like yours too. And I don’t mean to be critical. But I’d like it even more if the tank badge was readjusted.

Here’s mine.

Kinda, sorta. The first Valks were listed & titled as 1997 Model Year, but sold in 1996. Around Dec of '95 they started showing 3 hand-finished bikes at various bike shows, a black, yellow/black, and a red/white. I went to the Chicago show in Jan '96 so I could sit on one to make sure I could stand flat-footed. The early spec. releases said it had a 29" seat height, and I have a 29" inseam. Starting in Jan '96 you could put a deposit down and order, (which I did) and the national release date was the Tuesday after Memorial day '96. In reality, there's about 1½ years of "1997" bikes.

Yeah, the youngest kid of someone I was dating at the time was a 12 year old of about 90 pounds, he loved flying in it. A bit of a punkin' shaker for the passenger if you don't set it down gently.

Two pretty girls and the pretty lady.  It was dark so it's not the best pic but they were having such fun playing around her I couldn't resist.

Hi Willow,

Always liked that bike.  Very cute kids on the bike.  Getting them to like Valks early.  Trish had our 2 granddaughters out for rids on the trike over the last 2 days with the resent nice weather.

They are cute.  They're not mine but my grands are cute also.  I didn't know them before that night's gathering but they took a liking to the girl.  It was fascinating to see.
