5am this morning and it's already 78*. Yesterday on my ride home from work it was 100*. Summer is here. I know for most of you this is a welcome change. Not so much here. It will be 128* again before we know it.
You guys enjoy shaking off the winter doldrums and get out and ride. I will still ride all summer, but we will start separating the men from the boys pretty soon here.

We woke up to a bright crystal clear (after the rain) morning and 45*. It will warm up to the mid seventies before I have to leave for my Patriot guard mission. Going to be a nice ride

It's always time to ride here  Smiley ...

Almost always... not yesterday... we had a stupid amount of rain,
flash floods all over the place, filled up the valley below my house...

These are the same places:

We've had a roller coaster of a spring so far... Last Saturday at Faire, that roaring rapid behind me is usually a tiny little 6 inches across trickle of water...

And then during the week last week we had warnings of grapefruit sized hail, to the point they closed the airport for several hours, after school activities were canceled, stores were closing etc.

But all we got out of it was a brief mild thunderstorm. But it's spring in Texas, we'll get more exciting stuff before the heat of summer settles in.

Today is clear, sunny with a high of 80.

...and I woke up with a sore throat and feeling like *($)@... C'est la vie..

Still nice here, 60s early in the AM, 80s in the late afternoon.  But Meathead is right, it's coming, at least for us desert rats.

yah, about time us northerners get out and RIDE!!!!

For those in the heat, not sure which is worse not riding due to excessive heat or not riding in the below 30 degree temps for 4 fricking months every single year?   At least down south you can still ride say at night or early morning hours before it is pushing 100 degrees or more...

I like your crazy dog.

We just got back from exploring around down there, she was extra crazy today  cooldude ...

I collected enough treated lumber to open my own lumber yard. An entire small
deck was deposited in the middle of my "island", new looking, well constructed
and in perfect shape... I plan to level it up and have a new creek hang-out
spot until the next flash flood brings it to someone else...

Went out and enjoyed a 3 hour ride after lunch yesterday.  Had to take the shell of jacket, was getting warm.  Temps were in upper 60's-low 70's.   Great ride.

Today, well it started raining about bedtime last night and still raining. Had a brief period of Thunder  Storms, no hail, just thunder and lightening.   Not heavy just nice gentle rain.  Forecasters are saying it will last till dinner time.  Since live on a hill side not worried about flooding anytime soon.  Lots will be wet before we are.   coolsmiley

I assume you mean separate those wishing to avoid Heat Stroke (or worse) from those silly enough to think they are Superman?

Been out a few times so far. The temps have been all over the place, but the rains have set in. If there were a "perfect" place, I guess we'd all live there.
