Wax all painted and chromed surfaces.  Consider leaving the wax on as an added layer of protection.  If you find it difficult to remove in the spring, usually waxing over it with fresh wax will cut right through the old hardened wax.

I have not heard of this but might work. from; Shadow Forum.  I would think that it would leave a surface that would collect things.  :-\ I like a "slick" surface myself.  ;)

I don't know if I would want to leave the wax on and not buff it until spring.  I have a brother-in-law who did that to an old Ford Torino....ruined it.  He was never able to get it off. ???  Ended up just driving around with it that way. :uglystupid2:  Looked pretty goofy because the car was a dark green and he used Turtle Wax. :D  Heck, that stuff is hard to remove as soon as it dries.  No wonder it wouldn't come off several months later.
Got both of our Valks washed, waxed, Sea Foam in and tanks topped off and under covers. :cooldude:  Winter is just around the corner here. :'(

Old wax is very hard to remove once it is dried into cement. Wax on wax off.

Leaving old wax on a painted surface, thru winter storage isn't a good idea.  It will trap all the dust and dirt, the when you have to remove it with new wax, you are going to put all kinds of micro scratches in the paint.  It would be better to wax and remove it, store for winter, then wash and wax it again.

Heck I find wax from last season that I forgot to remove. Same with chrome polish!  :crazy2: Mine always wiped right off tho.

spray wd40 on everything. washes right off next spring. works like a charm:D

I wouldn't leave the wax on either I think I can remember having the same problem with taking it off and really it doesn't provide any better protection in fact it will attract dirt and stick to the surface and when you take it off will scratch. Why not get one of those dust covers and put that over the bike.
