No start after tank removal

I had changed out the starter relay, i had the tank off, put it all back together now the bike cranks but it wont fire off . any ideas??

Re-look at everything you did.  Why did you replace the relay?

Initially, did you get the vacuum line back on the petcock (from #6 cylinder). Is it in good condition?

Swapped the vacuum line and the vent line? (seen it happen!)

Petcock actually on? I've seen folks force the lever/knob back on in the wrong position and it was "off" when they thought otherwise.

Did you check the vacuum operation of the petcock? (leakdown test/etc).

Pinched vent line?

I agree, you most likely dont have a good vacuum line working off of the petcock, no vaccuum, no diaphram movement, no gas. Happened to me, , which led me to take the petcock apart to understand how it works.

When you were working on the relay did you install the bank angle sensor upside down?  Common issue.

It worked before, go back over what you did (it all) and verify it was done right.

Wires back on, lines removed and placed back (vacuum lines cracked at the end? remove from the intake tube and lightly such on it to apply a vacuum to the petcock).

I will admit I am a newbie to the Valk for sure, but I fail to see why the vacuum tube to the petcock would stop it from starting.   I have forgotten to turn the gas on on several occasions, and while it didn't run right, it started just fine with the gas in the bowls.    As it ran it wouldn't come up in RPM's like it should, but it started and ran just fine as long as I didn't try to blip the throttle up....until it started running out of gas.

Are some Valks more sensitive to that than others???
