I know there are Pros and Cons to the 6 Degree Trigger Wheels, but Hondaline has a special deal on these until June 30th.  They are $5.00 each.  They are normally $19.99 each.  I just ordered two for both of my Valks.  From what I have read, these are only recommended for the Standard and Tourer models and for the Goldwing GL1500 models.  Here's the link if anybody is interested in purchasing any.

I'll probably put one in my 98 Tourer I'm working on periodically, when I replace the timing belts.  I may put one in my 2000 Standard as well.

Stay safe everyone.

I had one in my 98 Tourer.  Took a little from the top end but who ever goes there?   ;D  But it did seem to make it a little zippier on the low end.  You may need to run either mid grade gasoline or what used to be called "high test" to keep it from pre-detonating.
If you have ANY doubts at all that you can install it without letting the cam's move DO NOT attempt to do it but let Grumpy or someone else do it for you.  It doesn't take but one revolution of the crankshaft to bend valves when they are misaligned.

Thanks for the info, Thunderbolt.  I am well aware of the timing marks and the possibility of bending valves.  I don't go top end either and was looking for a little more punch at low end.  So for $5.00 each, I thought I would give it a try.
BTW - It was $7.50 for shipping even if you buy one, but I got both for that price.  And they charge tax.

I have one on the hot rod and run mid-grade. what I can say is, it is the instant start bike!! even if it sits for two weeks, tap the button and it scares me  :o

John Schmidt

I just used an I/S ICM that gives 2 deg. and a 4 deg. wheel. Gives me 6 deg. up to about 4500 rpm as I recall then the I/S ICM kicks back out of the 2 deg. it provides at the bottom. Gives much the same as a 6 deg. wheel and you don't lose any top end.

Thanks for the additional info Jerry and John.  Mine pretty well starts up right away, too.  I have Cobra carb needles installed with the 6 Cobra pipes  I'll keep the thought of using mid range fuel in mind.  I have heard about replacing the ICM John, but wanted to try the trigger wheel just to see.  And, the price was right.  See, you're not the only one that's cheap!   :2funny:  At my age, anything over 80mph starts to scare me, anyway!

Pappy!

Have one in mine and like the runnability. Was in there when I bought it. Previous owner stated to use premium but mid-grade works very well.
I think I have three extras in my "stash" ...........
