That man-Tim Conway-was FUNNY beyond belief. The reason Tim cracked everybody up as I understand it was in rehersal Tim did it like called for in the script then when onstage he adlibbed. He also got Carol number of times. Much like Red Skelton I do Not believe I ever heard Tim Conway curse in a skit. I truly hope Tim Conway did in Fact exit laughing.  2funny R I P Sir-you are Already missed.  Cry

Oh man what a loss.  Cracked me up for sure, probably more tear squirtin' belly laughs had from watching that guy than any other comedian.  The way he and Korman lost it when on stage together was priceless!  R.I.P. Tim Conway, you're gonna have 'em rolling up there!

The lovely spousal unit, who poor thing was born without a sense of humor, came in and asked "Who was this Tim Conway guy I'm hearing about today?"

Keep in mind, she watched the entirety of the greatest work of comedy in the last hundred years and never even chuckled (Monty Python and the Holy Grail.)

...I played her the Elephant joke sketch...

She was laughing loud and long.....

Not only did he not get nasty, he didn't get political.  Some 'comedians' today could learn from him.

They don't get as much attention, but he was also very funny in some of the McHale's Navy episodes.

Tim Conway, Red Skelton, Bob Newhart, Jonathan Winters.  Never failed to get a laugh out of me.
A generation of comedians that we shall not see again.  Glad Bob is still with us, but the rest live on in videos and movies that captured their brilliance in delivering a shtick.
Thank you sir, may you rest in the peace of having lived a fruitful life. angel

Carol Burnett said that Tim's mission in life was to destroy Harvey Korman (comedically); they must have been great friends. Smiley

Tim Conway was truly one of a kind and a dying breed of comedy as well.
He and Harvey were amazing. lesa still watches old episodes late at night. I can hear her laughing like crazy and have to go see.

Carol got back at Tim by going off script during one of their routines and it took some effort on his part to try t9o hold it  together when he realized what she was doing.  The routine was OK but worth it to see her get some revenge on Tim.
