In my venture to maintain, repair, and upgrade my Valkyrie, I've purchased a handful of used parts. Some were here on the classifieds; some off of Facebook, and some from Pinwall Cycles on Ebay. When you're buying from the owner, generally speaking, the parts are not from a destroyed bike. Pinwall posts a lot of pictures, and often videos, of the bikes the part came off of. That's why I buy from their Ebay page vs their website. I have specifically avoided buying parts from Valkyries that are severely damaged; not because the part I'm looking at was damaged, but because it would appear that the rider(s) were either severely injured or worse...

I don't know why, but I just feel that their may be some bad juju attached. Silly, I know, but it still feels that way. I look at a wreck like that and feel something for the rider, even though I didn't know them. Sometimes I see these wrecked Valks on Ebay and wonder if they are/were members here. At any rate, I don't like looking at destroyed motorcycles for any reason. Doesn't make me feel too good.

Don’t make me feel too good either. (It’s worse when it’s your bike)

Not sure about the karma parts, but I too hate seeing smashed up Valkyries.  I posted a pic a long while back of one that looked like it hit a brick wall, head on, at a rather high speed.  Don't see how any human could have survived it.  Forgot what I titled the post and can't find it now.

You never know. I t-boned a car at 65, came away with a swollen elbow and 5 stitches in the knee. Bike didn't look too good though. (It probably helped being 20 years old)

When I was shopping for an Interstate ECU, I picked one from a running, dyno tested IS listed by Pinwall. Here are a couple I didn't pick. Click on them and scroll down to the pictures of the bike they came from (not the Ebay listing pictures) and you'll see what I mean. I hope nobody recognizes the bikes as a friends.

I've got the same superstition.  I have two Valkyries.  One (Edda) that I fell off of while exploring the Missouri countryside.  That bike was slightly damaged and repaired easily.  I took the wost of it.  It's even my daily rider now.  Any way, I will swap parts from my other bike (Rota) to Edda but not the other way around.  Kinda crazy I know, but I just can't do it.

This bike was crashed twice by the previous owner I bought it as a parts bike. When I told a friend a member here I was going to rebuild it he said " that bike has bad mojo and I wouldn't ride it to the mailbox " . My tag on this bike is BDMOJO . So far so good I've rode it thousands of miles since the build.

I've seen your bike here before, and it's one of my favorites. Dig the paint job. I like that its well accessorized, without going too far. Looks awesome. I like how you made the plate like a little FU to any bad vibes. Well done.
