Was watching the greatest news show ever “Fox and Friends” Friday morning (I think) and they had a short report on how this may be the last year for the Rolling Thunder Memorial ride, after 31yrs, due to permitting and finances.

They showed a clip of the “Sea of bikes” cruising through and most looked like HDs but right about the 18 sec mark there was a Valkyrie in the midst of all these bikes!
I spotted the different “timing belt” cover on the bike, as I’m sure most here would’ve noticed right off the bat.

I saw it here;

(if I was more "computer savvy" I'd remove the ad and just put up the video, sorry!)

Anybody else see this?
Was it anybody from here?

However, I’m not sure if the clip was from this year or from the past.

Can't watch the video so no comment.  It wasn't me.  While it is a great cause and event, it is just too crowded, hot, and slow for me (and I can no longer hold my pee all day long).  I went a bunch of times in the past.

But after RT organizers announced it as the last year for the event in DC (not elsewhere) due to high expenses and trouble permitting, someone donated a pile of money, and President Trump announced he would throw his full support behind the ride if they decide to come back.  So now it's not certain if they will be back next year or not.

The problem is not just the Pentagon, it is DC (which should surprise no one).

Yeah, I went on a couple local "Warrior Weekend" rides where there were 2-300 bikes for about 50 miles.

You have no idea of the riding skills of strangers around you!
And traveling down the Freeway (Police stopped cars to let the bikes go) it's like an Accordion!
You notice there is a large gap open up ahead of you so you zip up a bit only to lay on the brakes again.

If a "Warrior" wanted to ride and you had an extra helmet you could take him/her.
Unfortunately on the last ride there were like three accidents involving the Vets! They stopped that.

On the last ride I went on one gal ahead of us driving a Goldwing with a side car took 3 Vets, all females as they were small enough to where two could fit in the side car, the other on the pillion. Every time the driver turned to talk to the Vets she'd veer to the right, a couple times she almost drove off the road! And we were traveling on the inside lane!!
Made the wife and I really nervous!
Luckily they made it ok, or at least to where I left the ride.

This may or not be the video in question, but here's a video from this year, but showing last year's footage. I linked this video, starting at the point where a Valkyrie is shown. Either way, I'm sure there was more than 1 Valkyrie there this year, but it would be nearly impossible to pick them out of the thousands of bikes in the lots. Here's the video, started at the point showing a Valk last year: https://youtu.be/QKXNT3o5vMA?t=189

Someone has some logic problems or is not giving the real reason for ceasing.  The cost has grown to $200,000 for 500,000 motorcycles?  That's about an average of $.40 contribution per bike.
