I heard someone made a transmission shifter pivot upgrade for the Valkyrie. Curious if anyone on here knows where to get it or has installed one. I know they make one for the goldwing but I heard someone had a Valk version.

Second thing. I was told by a member that someone on here makes alternator covers new that don't suffer from the chrome separation like the factory ones do. Not sure if this is the case or not but I figure you guys would know better than anyone.

I have already sent my carbs off to have them professionally rebuilt by David Wilder, adding a fuel solenoid valve to prevent hydrolocking, ordered timing belts, new thermostat, radiator hoses, honda filter, honda oil, and ordered some ABS to repair the covers.

Thanks in advance. I'm very excited about getting this bad boy back on the road once my carburetors come back.

The shifter mod is made by Jersey - he shouldn't be hard to find. just search for 'Jersey shift mod'.
I can't help with the rest, sorry.

JerseyMCProducts.com  For the Shifter mod.

He makes a turn signal circuit upgrade too.

Just be aware that he's gonna be at Inzane in Taos, NM next week . If he's already traveling you may have to be patient.
Normally there would be an add link on this site but it took quite a while to rotate in today.

The bold print says " SIGNAL BOSS".

Where did YOU order your radiator hoses from, if you don't mind my asking. I'm due for some too.

Not sure about the alternator cover issue. Mine seems problem free.

Good luck with your resto .

His ad is there in the rotating banners at the top of the page.

Thank you guys for the replies. I found the thread.

Ordered the bracket.

I bought a long list of parts from partzilla. Including the radiator hoses. I figured since the carbs were out I should do an egr delete, replace the coolant, hoses, thermostat, and anything else that might cause issues.

Does anyone have a favorite grill cover? Mine is about the ugliest thing on the bike. I looked at ebay. Mine has a bit of rust on it and I know I could use steel wool but I don't really like how it looks anyway. At my heart of heart I'm a minimalist. So clean and simple get me.

FYI for cleaning chrome and even removing light rust go to ACE and get 0000 steel wool.  Buy WD40 by the gallon cheap at Harbor Freight, get the 0000 SW soaked with WD40 and rub lightly on the area to clean. Best chrome - and other metals - cleaner I've found.  Except maybe Brasso for brass.  Wipe off the oil with a microfiber or shop paper towel and then clean the rest off with Honda polish/cleaner or the like.
