I just noticed that the part numbers of the dipsticks for the Gold Wing and the Valkyrie are different. Anyone know what the difference is in the actual parts?

I would assume they will physically interchange, but do they represent a different oil level in the 2 bikes? Or is it simply a different upper (i.e. external) shape?

As long as it reaches the oil it really doesn't matter. Drain, fill with a fresh gallon and wherever the oil lands on the stick is where it needs to be. You can even make your own mark if you want.

To be honest, I hardly ever even check the oil level anymore. I did for years, and it never changed. Now I just change the oil and filter, put in 4 quarts and forget about it.

Exactly, I do check the oil by looking at the floor under the bike. If there's no oil then I know it's all still inside  :crazy2:
