Woke up Friday morning with my first school bus cold of the academic year. Bless the little children.

Texted Smokin Joe to keep away from the plague pit so he stayed at the Days Inn in Clayton instead of my casa.

I lay in bed Saturday morning looking at the bright blue sky through the window for about 90 minutes.

Too good a day to waste so I ate and drank every DayQuil pill and potion in Clayton and headed off to Two Wheels of Suches for the annual Japanese bike show.

As I turn into the parking lot Joe was there  shouting "Britman".

Burger was excellent as were the bikes on display.

After lunch Joe followed me back to Clayton to my house. A bottle of cold water and he headed off to Hubcaps near Seneca, SC.

Route starts due west from Clayton on Hwy 767.

I paid for it today moping around the house.  :(

I suppose if you wore a hazmat suit and mask as bus driver, people would seek your commitment.

I find it remarkable that since I retired (from riding a crowded subway and working in a huge federal building) in May 2010, I have not had one single virus of any kind.  Before that, I always had at least 3 or 4 a year.  I do leave the house for Walmart, Costco, Home Depot, gas stations and the other usual suspects, and am not a germ avoidance freak (though I never use public sinks, and rarely pee on my hands).

And it's not like I'm a health nut (far from it) or have some super immune system at 66.  And I haven't had a flu shot the whole time.
