going to be weird around the house,   dropped off youngest kid at college yesterday living in dorm now we have 2 bedrooms in our house empty.  Guess sign we are getting OLD?   :-

Wife had a very hard time with daughter 4 years ago dropping her off but this time dropping the boy off was easier for some reason having gone thru it once 4 years ago already.  Weird,  seems like just yesterday (or almost anyways)  we were just changing their diapers,  boy how 18 years flies on by doesn't it?  Sort of wish the next 15 years or so would fly on by so I could retire........ :2funny:

Don't wish your life away! Those 15 years will fly by fast enough and lord knows how many grandkids will come along in that time. Your house will fill back up quick it the kids don't get to far from home.

Quick. Put the " for sale " sign in the front yard. Disconnect the phones.  :uglystupid2:

thinking about it...  phone line sort of already disconnected only reason paying only regulatory fees is to have internet service.  Been over 5 years since picked up and used a land line regular home phone.

house would sell quickly in my area biggest problem is moving somewhere else one could afford...

neighbors house sold for 182K in 2 weeks being about 400 more sq. foot and newer,  mine would be around 165K.  Not many homes in my area under 150K worth buying anymore those in that 150-200K price range snatch up pretty quickly and are about the only ones a normal family can afford where as some are building those gawd awful 300K on up homes that can fit 2 families inside easily having a 30 year mortgage paying thru the nose on.

will be interesting to find out in 2 more years when my recently retired next door neighbors house sells for since his is about the only one smaller and less fancy than mine with only a 1 car garage with them moving up north to a house somewhere near a lake LIVING the dream...

If they move out of the area, where they move to becomes a vacation spot.  :cooldude:

will be awhile for that closer to retirement then am sure.  Daughter wants to be a teacher and dislikes snow up in northern WI but said more teaching jobs and more pay in MN and that is not any better for snowy winters and usually just as cold if not colder.

Youngest boy dropped of yesterday is am sure getting to know the cafe workers since unlimited food supply him eating A TON said went 4 times today already and ONLY allowing 1 chicken breast at a time having to go back 3 more times right after the other for more chicken but some not the best food for him being a powerlifter.  He is not impressed with the college weightlifting eqmt. went today, coming from a larger gym type membership but did say the entire volleyball girls team was in there lifting weights.  I thought he would like that but he said was annoying and taking up his time in the gym not able to do what he wants when he wants.

As far as chasing the wife around the house anytime, will see about that????   :cooldude:

We are hoping to finally take a full week off work after this coming week 1st time in 4 years but the weather forecast EVERY single day is 40-50% chance of rain in northern WI into Michigan for ATVing and sightseeing Porcupine forest and if have time Pictured Rock lakeshore.  Figures,  the weather forecast around here the past few months has been nearly perfect most of the summer not much rain and if it did rain, it was mostly at night not ruining your entire days activities.   Bought my pepper spray and bringing a BIG knife just in case we run into black bears and/or cougars since last time not as far north up there we saw a momma bear and 2 cubs cross in front of us on the ATV trails booking quickly thru the woods.   I highly doubt one bear will attack 2 humans but never know and unless stopped, they can hear my ATV going 30-45 mph from far away probably use to ATV noise?
