Oh Hell Yes....all done over an open fire in a dutch oven, with homemade Bakewell biscuits ( done in the oven )

From searing the 2 lbs of assorted steak tips, to de-glazing with red wine, to the finished product served with Laurel's biscuits.....

I started this @ noon and we feasted well @ 5:30, having simmered for a couple hours while Laurel, Taylor, Ryan, and I enjoyed a couple locally brewed IPAs....

Not sure what the next " Cast Iron Cooking " will entail....we shall wait and see !!!

Looks GOOD! I have a similar pot I have used for a variety of foods. My favorite is still chili over a wood fire.

I'm thinking a big batch of chili will be next up Ron...
May even smoke a brisket for such occasion !!!

Try this one. Sheep herders breakfast. TASTY!

1 lb bacon
1 large onion, chopped
1 (32 oz) bag thawed hash browns
1 dozen eggs
8 oz shredded cheddar cheese

Cut bacon into 1-inch pieces and brown bacon and onions in a large Dutch oven or skillet. Drain excess grease. Add hash browns and cook until they begin to brown. Make wells in the hash browns and put an egg into each depression. Cover and cook until eggs begin to set. Cover with cheese and cook until cheese melts. Serve immediately.

I may have to give this a try Ron....thanks

Terry's Stew looked delicious and Ron's breakfast sound deliciously decadent. Now I'm hungry!  :cooldude:
