You were on cloud 9 leaving the dealer I'll bet.

I was fortunate enough to pick up a 98 Tourer a couple of years ago from the original owner.  He even had the original paperwork.  It was just over $15,000 out the door.  That was a lot to pay for a bike in 1998!

On the other side of the coin. Lower prices for these powerful cruisers might attract a new set of younger riders looking for power and looks.

In 98 my business partner told me he wanted a used Tourer when he found the right bike I went with him to check it out I test drove it and even wrote the check and paid for it.  Eleven years ago he retired and moved to CA naturally he took the bike with him but really never used it so it sat a lot and gummed up the carbs.  In ten years he put about 300 miles on the bike on the rare occasion he wanted to ride it wouldn't start due to sitting so long between riding.  He decided it was time to get rid of it and he know that I really like it so he gave it to me, all I paid was the shipping. The best part is before it shipped he had it serviced yet again so it would get to me in great running condition.
So I think I got the best deal on my bike, it is hard for me to complain about the recent price drop!
