I never understand why you get an automatic 10 year penalty for hitting a roadworker, but nothing for KILLING a motorcyclist by negligence or R & I driving.

I"m not sure I can respond with out violating the Administrations guidelines ( RULES of the road "Please avoid profanity, as there are many other creative forms of expressing yourself! " ) So I will just use the emoticon as suggested

I try to see things from other perspectives, but every view I take of this story makes me sick to think that this woman drives a 2000# + machine, going 50 miles per hour, while her head is in her "arse", painting her nails, probably just put the cell phone down from texting her daughter telling her she's running late.

I know we've all got stories of close calls.  A cop will pull you over for not wearing a seat belt, why don't they start pulling people over for inattentive driving!

We should all demand that they make an example of this woman's ignorance.

I hope she gets the max ....Thanks for the post ....I fear very little while on my motorcycle and push the envelop more than I should sometimes however getting run over at a redlight or stop sign is always in the back of my mind while I'm out doing what I love so much.
