I think '2-up' long distance touring days on the Interstate are coming to an end.
My wife injured her knee skiing many years back, and now she has arthritis in that knee. Riding for more than a couple hours causes her a lot of pain. I guess we all have to make choices at some point. The Touring Trunk will be removed and the solo seat/fender bib installed for most of the time now.
The upside...We took a top down drive into the mountains the other day in our 'new' 350Z...very nice. I was very surprised at how calm the air around us is even at well above legal speed.
300HP in a 3200LB Car is plenty for us, and I am happy my wife agreed that the 6 speed stick was the way to go.

Looks like a great choice. My son has a 370 Z that is his good weather fun car. My Corvette is still fun for me but if the opportunity were to present itself to get a C7 convertible I might let my hardtop go to someone else.

How about that awesome new Mid Engine C8...ya I know some people consider it an automatic tranny car, but the dual clutch transmission is a big departure from the traditional torque converter/planetary gear automatic.

loved my 280ZX too!  :smitten: i had a '79 in '79 (the 1st yr of the ZX). then i got married and had to sell her and used the money to buy a mobile home. after i got divorced it 2002, i bought a '83 (last yr the made the 280ZX) and had a blast in it for a few yrs. then i met my new wife and sold the ZX and bought my Valkyrie I/S  ;) :cooldude:
do the new ones have the "voice" that tells you if you left the lights on, or door is open, or emergency brake is on, etc.?
Safe Winds... Brother

Big Rig

I had a metallic chocolate brown 83...totaled, uninsured driver tried to beat the light...10 seconds after it changed...two cars ahead of me made it thru before he plowed into the drivers side of my car...I never saw him...

I'm sure the C8 is something special but I figure at least ten years before it will be in my price range and that's if they sell as well as the previous generations.

Speaking of getting married and having to sell toys. I had a Sunbeam Tiger before I met my wife. It was in beautiful rust free condition with a new top. 3 years later after getting married  "we" sold it.  :-\
Makes me sick thinking about what I sold it for. Then $ ...Now $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$>>?

Jay Leno Tiger Video...mine did not have the 289..260 instead.

Nice car !

And I always liked the Tiger, another Shelby/Miles creation.
