I still remember in 9th grade being beat in the track and field 100 and 220 by one guy in one meet (by a lean at the tape both times), my only non-1st places of the year.  He had a full beard, and looked 20.  I asked him if he had been held back in school a few years, and all I got was a (guilty) dirty look.  And I though that was unfair.

I guess it's too much to expect. Common sense. If we have to have transgenders. Common sense says, you cross that line you are not eligible for sports at any serious level. Be all you can be if that floats your boat but stay off the playing field you have disqualified yourself.

I look at it this way. Woman have gotten what they've asked for. And it has come around to bite them in the back side. Years ago I remember the feminists screaming about letting girls in the Boy Scouts and the screaming that girls should be allowed to play football and other sports with the boys. Boy were not allowed to be boys anymore. Feminism has made some into sissies. So i think its funny that now they are screaming its unfair. Its just sad that very few boys nowadays that have grown up with pissed off   single mothers that vowed and declared they didn't need a man except  for reaching into his wallet via the government grow up to be actual men anymore.

The victims here are the biiologically female competitors.  They are losing spots at local and state championships which can turn into scholarships and even promotional contracts.  These biological female compeitors didn't sign up for this, they shouldn't suffer consequences because of it.

I have no problem with them competing in non-contact sports, as long as their "win" is not recorded or recognized as such by whatever athletic association .

am sure is true.  I have no problem with them competing as females, but as said not recognized as the rest for placement/records, etc.   My kid is a pretty good powerlifter competing at state and nationals in past year now into college level and he agrees is not fair for the true females to get whooped by a real man.  Although, after seeing some high school females lifting weights,  they scare me can whip my butt or pretty close to it...

Critics are scrutinizing mixed martial arts (MMA) competitor Fallon Fox, after the transgender fighter gave her opponent a concussion and broke her eye socket.

Fox defeated her opponent, Tamikka Brents, by TKO at 2:17 of the first round of their match. Brent's eye injury resulted in a damaged orbital bone that required seven staples.

In a post-fight interview this week, Brents told Whoa TV, "I've never felt so overpowered ever in my life."

"I've fought a lot of women and have never felt the strength that I felt in a fight as I did that night. I can't answer whether it's because she was born a man or not, because I'm not a doctor," she stated. "I can only say, I've never felt so overpowered ever in my life, and I am an abnormally strong female in my own right. "

Fox's "grip was different," Brents added. "I could usually move around in the clinch against...females but couldn't move at all in Fox's clinch."

A video (below) of the fight shows Fox throwing several powerful knees to the face and torso of Brents at the start of the match, who pulled guard to protect herself. Then, Brents turns to avoid damage, where she then took about 45 seconds of elbow and fist strikes before the fight was stopped by the referee.

The female soccer players were yelling for equality in pay.  Yup, they got a few million people to watch them play, while the men get a billion.  Equality, my A$$ !

They do have some kind of equality in pay in tennis.  But the women don't have to play as much.  Women play best of 3 while the men play best of 5, so not really equal, the women get paid more per match having to play less games.

IMO - the way the MMA ought to determine male or female should be based on their genes - XX = female, XY = male - no matter how they claim to be or how they dress, etc. Other athletics as well.

Isn't that what the Olympics do, or used to do?

Back a few decades, I seem to recall some East German and Russian women power lifting Ford F150s and such being disqualified from competition.  

From a purely fair and objective (and non politically correct) point of view, I see little difference between someone doping their way to victory, or some guy claiming girlhood (with or without surgery, hormones, yada) beating out real girls.

I like the idea proposed above; let them compete with girls if they have to, but allow them no awards, medals, or records, or MONEY.  Perhaps that would put an end to such foolishness.

Sports for those born female.
Sports for Open class which would include transgenders.

Seems fair to me.
