Technically Christians are Jewish.

Rom 11:17  But some of these branches from Abraham’s tree—some of the people of Israel—have been broken off. And you Gentiles, who were branches from a wild olive tree, have been grafted in. So now you also receive the blessing God has promised Abraham and his children, sharing in the rich nourishment from the root of God’s special olive tree.

Eph 2:19  So now you Gentiles are no longer strangers and foreigners. You are citizens along with all of God’s holy people. You are members of God’s family.

Rom 9:8  This means that Abraham’s physical descendants are not necessarily children of God. Only the children of the promise are considered to be Abraham’s children.

Those would be meaningful, Robert, if Jewish referred to descendants of Abraham.  It doesn't.  Jewish refers to the descendants of the nation of Judah, Israel's son.

True Christians are certainly sons of God but they are not necessarily Jews.

I wish happy celebrations to Evan, Gary, and all my Jewish friends.

True Christians are certainly sons of God but they are not necessarily Jews.

Rom 2:28  For you are not a true Jew just because you were born of Jewish parents or because you have gone through the ceremony of circumcision.
Rom 2:29  No, a true Jew is one whose heart is right with God. And true circumcision is not merely obeying the letter of the law; rather, it is a change of heart produced by the Spirit. And a person with a changed heart seeks praise from God, not from people.

Gal 3:9  So then those who are of faith are blessed with Abraham, the believer.

Joh 1:47  Jesus saw Nathanael coming to Him, and *said of him, "Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom there is no deceit!"

Literally, truly an Israelite. An Israelite not merely in descent, but in character, according to the ideal laid down in God's law. The word Israelite itself was an honorable designation. See on men of Israel, Acts 3:12, and compare remarks on Jews, John 1:19.

No earthly definition of religion can separate man from God and the position they hold. I'm sure in heaven they will not ask are you a Jew, Israelite, Christian, if you make it, you will be Gods child. Christian or Jew we are blessed because we serve the Most High God. For it is not by rights but by faith in God that we are His children. Religion separates, God unites.

One should not do the right thing because the Lord is watching,

One should do the right thing because you know it is the right thing to do
not because you will regret it or any thought of reward.

You pick up the fallen, remove the obstacle before the blind person, you help that person in the car by the side of the road, not because  of whether you think you or they are good or they deserve it, just do it because you can.

How many untold millions have died because of religion and because
of the greed of man (and women)? And how many more surely will end the same way?   Like the story of starfish on the beach remember it makes a difference to that one and if you save one person it is as if you saved the world

have faith.  Merry Christmas Robert and all of you here and abroad  This is day 3 of Chanukah
