Had a nice nap this afternoon.....

Turned on the impeachment trial, listened to Schiff ramble on and on and pretty soon....zzzzzzz. Woke up over an hour later and he was still talking so shut it off. Reminded me of my dear old Aunt Sophie, only time I heard her quiet was when I went to her funeral. She talked so much and so fast that one day she sneezed while doing the washing and her teeth flew out and into the washing machine. Chewed up a pair of her bloomers before she could get the machine stopped. Loved her cookies though! 

As for the trial, I decided I had better things to do.

I'm retired with nothing that important to occupy my time.  I watched some of the Democrat presentation.  The representative from Florida was speaking.  I wondered several times how she got out of high school.  She repeatedly referred to what "everyone knows" regarding assumptions she had made.

Does anyone else find amusing the irony that this group of elected officials are using their power of dominating the House of Representatives to pursue a completely one sided impeachment for nothing more than their party's political gain (They can't get a Senate conviction.) accusing the President of misusing his power solely for his own political gain?

The impeachment is being pursued solely for their own political gain.

That, and they apparently don't have anything else useful to do. 

I had something more important to do besides watching that melodrama.  I farted..... and then took a nap.

Agreed. If you recall, one of the profs the Dems called during the impeachment hearings told them exactly the same thing....they were guilty of the very thing you're accusing the POTUS of doing. In a loose sort of way it kinda brings to mind the Peter Principle: "the principle that members of a hierarchy are promoted until they reach the level at which they are no longer competent." Although not promoted to their lofty positions, a lot of what I saw today in the short time I watched it falls into much that same category. I found a lot of the Dems presentations laughable....and at times repetitive. With all the amendments Schumer wants, if they continue to address each one in the same manner as today this thing will be going on during and after the election in November and the public is going to get fed up with it.

          The whole shootin match is just cuz they have NOT in any way shape or form have This MAN Our President under their thumb or under their control and THAT very FACT has pissed em off from the git go. I have Never seen this much hate and vitriol aimed at a sitting President EVER by just One Party. RIDE SAFE.
