I finally installed my Yokohama Envigor tire on the Interstate.  Considering what my Cobra looked like, no learning curve needed. I got 8,000 out of the Cobra, not enough mileage for me. So far I'm liking it

Looking good.  And should go more than 8K (all I could ever safely get out of any bike rear tire).

Last summer I got pulled over; no ticket but the Hog bike cop thought my rear lights weren't working.  They were (all 4 of them) (boy that's an old one).  And my plate, and inspection sticker were good too.

He took a glance at my car tire (surrounded by interstate) and said it looked like I was real low on air (very condescending) since it was so flat on the bottom (oh brother).  I knew I had 40 pounds in it, but I kept my mouth shut.  I didn't want or need a lecture on car tires, or a discussion on their legality (they are with a DOT rating).  OK, I'll check it allowed him to go on his way, and me on mine.

The Yoko will serve you well Eddie, i have the same on my IS,  It will break in and feel even better in about 1 thousand miles. Geez you sure used up all of that Cobra ! I'm surprised the edge wore thru before the center.  nice camper too.. :cooldude:

We all run the Yoko and have many miles on them. I can't wait to get my new Cobra Chrome on the front and check it out over the Metzler, which have always been Great Tires for me, but not for Jack so much  :coolsmiley: :tickedoff:

Metzeler tires were also good for me for many years.
They yielded less miles per tire because of the soft compound and I did not mind that because I liked  how they stuck to the ground.
2 bad tires in the last 7months is not what I expected in what I considered a quality tire so I'm switching over to Avons   :(

You sure got your monies worth out of that one. :o
I just dropped off the fat gurl to have the same tire mounted. The Michelin had 25K on it before it gathered an unwanted screw. I like the large rain groves in the Yokohama.
