It took me till 3rd grade to realize that's not how it went.    I had the day off today, and decided to wash the bike. It had been some time and I was feeling a little ashamed. Got her all cleaned up and decided a couple things needed attention. So, Jose can you see the changes ?


I repainted my helmet hangers. Didn't have any more silver, and went with green. Then I spotted some chrome sink drains that I bought on clearance at Lowe's years ago. I was planning on using them for the carb covers. Never got around to it, but I came up with another idea. I think I've got $6 in them.





On another note, I've had these since I got the bike. They make me feel a little like a Harley rider.  They don't really fit with my dragon motif. Anybody know of some dragon ones ? If not I think I'm going to go plain.

How did you guess?  That is what caught me my eye. Lol

Remember my post of using the cameras eye to expose places missed. You just repeated my finding that that camera is no respecter of persons. If it's dirty it will show you

Shaming one at a time...lol. That Green colour really does look nice when all polished up...you'll easily get another HP or two and better mileage as well with such a clean bike Good to see you keeping the Mrs's ride up to standard as well...I spend a lot of time keeping my Mrs's 28 year old Miata in pristine condition, along with my bike. My neighbors make fun of me, but they all stop to look and admire when we pull out of the garage

Thanks. All my past garages have been somewhat helter skelter. When we moved 3 years ago, I had to have an XL double garage at least, and before anything went in here I set it up with Gladiator cabinets and built the workbench. I have the other side all set up for bike stuff.

I spend a lot of time in here, putzing around. If a door is open, all the guys on our little dead-end street know they're welcome to come over, grab a beer, and watch me polish the bike and the Miata

not sure I would leave my garage door open very long anywhere nowadays.   The cycle or tools can easily find a new home developing legs walking away with pesky and very persistent,sneaky thieves.  I trust NO ONE nowadays it seems like I hear more and more home/car robberies these days than ever before locally.

Leaving my garage door open if not going to be in there for say more than 5 minutes I close it to avoid thieves even where I live.    10+  years ago was a different story leaving it open if just running downtown for 10-15 minutes, not so anymore.

Agreed.. 30 years ago when new bought our modest little home.. it didn't come with any keys because the lock was broken.

Even after I remodeled it & installed a new door , for years.. we never locked up the house.
never worried about it.

Although, we are in a safe / low crime area.. I wouldn't dream of it today.

My older brothers home in even a smaller town than mine at 1100 people, his town 850 or so,  he came home from work a few months ago to find a dope addict thief trying to break into his home at 330 p.m. broad daylight.  He tried making up an excuse and he kept an eye on him walking around to his next door neighbors house and walked right in while they were home.  My brother heard his neighbor telling the guy to get the hell out of his house so he walked on out and by that time my brothers 911 call 2 squad cars showed up and arrested the perv. 

I guess could tell he was high on something not in his right mind.  If no gun,  he might have had am sure a needle on him being on drugs, who knows? 

NOT safe anywhere even in rural small town America, although can honestly say I would never live in Madison WI some 35 miles away from me way too big and crime ridden with idiot drivers to deal with, plus taxes and housing market unable to afford for sure.  My same house say at 175K some 35 miles south would sell for near 300K in Madison NO JOKE is that insane the housing market there.   For over 100K more for a small ranch home I can drive 35 miles one way in gas money.  luckily only have to drive about 12 miles in Madison but those 12 miles takes 20 minutes vs. the entire 35 miles taking 45 minutes thanks to idiot drivers and traffic.
