5a accessory wire

 I just picked up a garmin 395lm and wanted to hard wire it!
   I noticed it has a 2a fuse in the harness that came with it so I was wondering is the 5a accessory enough power for the GPS? Thanks!

If you want to add other electric accessories, this connection makes a good trigger for your accessory fuse box.

BE  SURE the fuse is close to the battery in any installation. 
I have seen many electrical fires because the fuse was at the end of the circuit.

I wired my Garvin Zumo 595 to the auxiliary power connection under the right side cover. I found the crimp on compartible pins to make it look totally OEM )) and not to overload the battery terminals directly
