If I was caught in one of those fiascos, I'd start watching their tactics from afar. Then when opportunity presented itself, I'd break one of those sticks in half over one of their heads. They would walk funny the rest of the day due to where the other half of the stick ended up. Reminded me of a teenage false accusation, in simple words....payback was quick, painful, and quite espensive. A self-important detective learned to shut his mouth and listen....and give a public apology. Rather self-satisfying to say the least!
