Maybe, maybe not. But being that our governor has deemed golf courses and beauty parlors essential, I think in a court of law my little ride would stand a good chance. Talked Brenda into taking a short ride. But we needed to stop and check out my granddaughter. She lost her two front teeth. It wasn't much of a ride, but it's good to ride with my wife again.

Just tell them when you get stopped that you are taking the spouse to the golf course and you are going to the beauty parlor for a perm. :2funny: :2funny: :2funny:

Mass Gov Charlie Baker is a good leader.  He's a republican.

His long list of "essentials" included the construction industry, including residential, so he didn't cripple the economy like other places.

And yet, the Mayors of Boston and Cambridge did close all construction in their cities.

I don't think we'll ever know what precautions worked and which didn't.

are you serious that golf courses and beauty parlors where you live are deemed ESSENTIAL?

What dope is your governor smoking in that state?

I had to cut my wife's hair with the clippers this weekend since all haircare places are shut down in WI that I know of anyways and she was complaining it was getting too long so I nipped it up REAL GOOD   :2funny:

She actually said I did a good job and will do it again saving 10 bucks or more per haircut.  Too bad she did not listen to me 20 years ago could have saved enough dough to buy another motorcycle am sure.!  :2funny:   ;D  but then I would be in the garage with them taking up over 1/2 the garage now.

We in VA just got the statewide lock-down yesterday, effective today and through 10 June.

Outdoor exercise (with distancing) is on the list of approved activities (like most all places).  Riding is maybe not as aerobic as walking, but it does get your heart rate and brain waves up and you do work some muscles, and it's much better for you than sitting in your recliner all day.  Especially for us older folks.  You're geared up with a helmet, and always 6 feet from everyone (except maybe a back-seater who you live with).  And you're not significantly exposing yourself or others to virus either.   I think a decent argument can be made you are following the spirit if not the letter of the law.

Still, having thought something up less arguable (which is also on the list) before riding off.... like getting milk or cold medicine, or going over to help someone out, etc., is probably a better reason to give if you are pulled over and asked what you are doing.

Now I will say in my local very urban area, I have seen almost no cops anywhere in the 5 drives and 2 rides I've been on in the last couple weeks.  And we have 1400 police officers in our County (of 1.15 million).  I think they are laying as low as they can, which is fine with me.  I think if you are obeying the law riding easy, you don't get pulled over and asked at all.

We at the DPW are now deemed essential.
In Massachusetts, essential workers can retire at 55 at a higher rate than non-essential workers.
Damn, I'm almost 7 years late....
Bet this decision gets reversed before I get to the retirement board hahaha

Turns out not what or where,
but who you ride with really matters

Rob not to get in a pissing match and I understand your grandkids are special. But it is very irresponsible of you and wife to visit them if  you are around anyone else at all.
