Thats the one Im using.  Baically there are choices between polished stainless or chrome.  Then you can have the control handle facing like that one is to the left side, or you can order one that has it to the back.  Then there is a model that has the vacuum side just like the OEM, if you want to retain the vacuum operation.

1311-CH means Chrome Hex body. They also make a CHV for vacuum and a CRV which means a round body and vacuum.

I've had the non-vac on both my Valks. If I ever get another Valk, it'll have one, too.
Can't really say if the vac models have the same problems as OEM's.

I installed the manual version, and sweated an extension on to the pickup tube so I have the same reserve. The Pingel tube is shorter, making the reserve less, but adding to the length is quite easy. And since you lose the filter with the extra length, I added an external filter and an electric shutoff valve. The shutoff was done mainly because knowing me, I'd forget to shut off the manual version every time.

To add the length, just go to a hobby shop and pick up a piece of model car or a/c fuel line just big enough to slip over the end...forget the size. Get some solder used to sweat copper plumbing, rough up the end of the Pingel tube and slide the tube on it. Lay the two petcocks next to each other and mark how much extra you need for the Pingel to match the OEM, cut it then sweat it. I've had mine in for over two years now. This is what it will look like when done. Be sure to slide the extension tube on a good 1/4" or more so you have a good union when done.

Did you add something like a Frankenfilter then ??  I'm guessing you just cap off #6 intake with a hose plug when running the manual version.

This is what a number of members are using, I've had it on for over two years with thousands of miles. I bought two originally and carry the second one when traveling....just in case. Like others, I mounted it inline and have it just over the bracing for the carbs, right where the current fuel line runs. I installed an inline filter between it and the Pingel petcock. One of the members posted some pictures of his installation and I copied it when installing mine. I don't recall who but you might do a search and find it....been quite a while since it was posted. I don't recall the filter I used, it's just a small metal automotive item, a couple inches long. Just don't have any droops in the fuel line from the petcock, mine is pretty much running slightly downhill all the way to the carbs and I can run the tank clear down.

Yep! That's the one I'm using as well.

I originally did the standard rebuild on the stock petcock and saw that it was still slowly leaking fuel. After reading about the Pingel right here on this site, I went for the non-vacuum model and just capped off the vac feed on carb #6. Simplicity is always better in my book.

Just the knowledge that a hydro lock can occur if the fuel is left on has permanently burned the procedure of turning the Pingel to the off position when ever the bike if not running!!!!

No, but I've found it's pretty forgiving.  Point it off to your left, and you're good.  I've been sloppy with positioning, but never had a problem.  Main and off are at the hardstops, so they're easy to find.

Straight out the left side. I do know it takes longer to get the resv fuel after you run out of the main tank. I can usually 'smell' when my tank is empty and need resv. No hesitation that way.

Anyone use the petcocks put out by Drag Specialties?  I haven't studied them for reserve tube length but they are a lot cheaper.
