We don't care about protests, you know that.

What was your stand when Kaepernick protested? This is precisely the same issue.

Well, I have to admit that I'm offended by Kaepernick's actions along with all of the others who in my opinion are disrespecting our country and our flag. While I don't agree with them, I understand that taking a knee during the National Anthem is their way of protesting.

However, because I am offended by their disrespectful display to our country and everything it stands for, I responded with my own form of protest by completely boycotting anything related to the NFL and when possible, sponsors of the NFL. What I did NOT do was to go on a rampage whereas I looted and burned down my city.

Chicago: 75% of Murdered Are Black, 71% of Murderers Are Black

It's true that around 13 per cent of Americans are black, according to the latest estimates from the US Census Bureau.

And yes, according to the Bureau of Justice Statistics, black offenders committed 52 per cent of homicides recorded in the data between 1980 and 2008. Only 45 per cent of the offenders were white. Homicide is a broader category than "murder" but let's not split hairs.


What about violent crime more generally? FBI arrest rates are one way into this. Over the last three years of data – 2011 to 2013 – 38.5 per cent of people arrested for murder, manslaughter, rape, robbery, and aggravated assault were black.

But academics have noted that the proportion of black suspects arrested by the police tends to match closely the proportion of offenders identified as black by victims in the National Crime Victimization Survey.

This doesn't support the idea that the police are unfairly discriminating against the black population when they make arrests.

the problem here is to protest is fine for anyone in this country.
  If a permit is needed to do so, well then after the law is broken
and the rules of said permit are not adhered to then the law enforcement
of the area is justified in making the crowd move on.
  When Antifa stole this protest and caused all the damage the citizens
should have started to help the police grab the criminals and handed them over.
  Just like a white man turning his head away when an injustice is going on
then he or they are contributing to it.
  What will be gained by the communities by their getting rid of the police.
Nothing as far as I can see except for even worse suffering by those that suffer the most.
  When there is truthful government elected in these areas and people stop voting
by a persons color  or religion or what ever they may have a better chance.
  The worst crime in these areas is black on black and nothing is said about it at all.
The problem is ten time worse when the person that is supposed to up hold
said law causes harm by any means.
  It is like a doctor that first and for most must do no harm.

That's the problem.   BLM seems to have forgotten about those folks altogether.

The violent crime victims in inner cities will suffer horribly if police departments are "defunded" or otherwise downgraded.  Ironically those crime victims are mostly black, and the perps are mostly black.

Where I live some locals are supposed to be behind this. Town of about 3,000. County of about 18,000

We have been informed by protest organizers that on Saturday, June 6, at 1:45 P.M. there will be a peaceful gathering at the Rabun County Courthouse parking lot. Protesters will be there for approximately 15 minutes and then will walk silently to Main Street where they will stand on both sides of the street in silent protest until 3:45 P.M. The protest will close out around 4 P.M. with a prayer. Peaceful protest is a right afforded to us under the Constitution and the Clayton Police Department fully supports that right. Chief Andy Strait.

All passed off peacefully.
