There was reports of antifa being bused into Huntsville this evening for a protest and the protest was peaceful until the time on the permit ran out the cops ask protesters to leave they refused and they got tear gas and flash bangs and there was Zero looting or rioting.    :cooldude: They handled it well and I am ready for the over flow.
The Sherriff gave the protesters 90 minutes to leave they didnt and then he gave the order to remove the protesters. All businesses closed early and boarded the windows. The courthouse closed business at 3 pm.
Watching local news now and media is questioning why they were removed.   :uglystupid2:
There is many state troopers, county Sherriff deputy cars and maybe half of the HPD on scene.
Score one for the good guys.

The way it has to be handled.  No if, ands or buts.

Swift, quick and sure response is the only thing that they will understand.

Someone really needs to hijack the Antifa buses.

Take this bus to Cuba.     Or Mobil Bay.

carolinarider09

What we need is to find out who/what the buses are.  Are they standard for hire buses?  Something anyone could hire?

Or are they buses used solely for this purpose.  If they are, then these are obviously readily available.

But then you would think that if we knew/know that type of information the FBI already does.

That is an interesting assumption/ascertain. I know, I know......

Honestly that looks like a turned around argument.  I haven't heard of any single one putting up those two arguments.

The cartoons purpose something that did not happen.

I strenuously objected to our governors lock downs after the second executive order.  He said he would enforce the stay at home orders with police.

He later said that he would (as did the governors in Minnesota and New York) enforce these using the police.

Some did not abide by these rules and some where removed.  However, in the midst of all this being frosted on law abiding citizens, and Churches not being allowed to hold services, these same governors did noting about the protest and allowed looting and property destruction to occur which was abhorrent and against their oaths of office.  The selectively enforced rules.  Some were exempt because of their "cause".

Actually, the first cartoon should probably have been the guys with guns in the Michigan capitol building.
Sure, not from the same source, but bang on to what's happening.
It's ok for the whites to go out and protest about having to stay home, but the blacks should stay home and not protest about racism.

Ok, funny thing, though.  Those protesters with guns were just that, protesting. There were no riots, or shootings, or looting, or burning.
Now, the protesting is fine, but when cars are jumped on, people assaulted, business burned, and cops being murdered, it is no longer a protest.  Apparently you cannot tell the difference.

Showing true racist colors there sir. It is ok for ANYONE to go out and protest about the stay at home orders and enforcement thereof. It is truly racists to accuse and lump all black folks as looters, rioters, and thugs, which you suggest as the issue isn't peaceful protest but insurrection and destruction which you disingenuously describe as "protest about racism".

How much looting and property damages was caused by the MI protesters with guns?  Your problem isn't with the protesters, it is that they were carrying guns.  They were totally within their rights to do so, and those evil guns didn't kill anyone.  Why is black outrage justified, and white outrage villified?  Oh yeah, I forgot, white privilege.

@Serk: I honestly believe the majority of people protesting are peaceful.

If they all were setting buildings on fire, those cities would be gone by now. If the whole population in a city decided to rebel, there wouldn't be a way to stop them, unless under total military occupation of the public spaces.

And if that happens, then for sure the cities will be gone as a result of the fight.

That doesn't mean that the looters shouldn't be put in jail and pay for the expenses.

There is the issue of how the media covers the subject and how each city PD (Police Department) is handling the situation.

Even Martin Luther King peaceful civil rights movement had to face a few opportunistic looters who infiltrated the manifestations. If that happened in the 60's, the odds today are probably worst.

Not at all the same.....

Kaepernick's actions would be like if you walked off your job and stood in front of the hangar waving around a FedEX SUCKS! UPS #1 sign while you were supposed to be doing your job.

The peaceful protesters would be like if you were to, on your own time, after hours, be in the city square proclaiming the same thing.

But I suspect you know that and are trying to intentionally obfuscate the issue.

As far as Kaepernick goes, I'd have fully supported his right to peacefully protest while he was not at his job. That's not the path he chose.

(And while I fully support his right to do so, I also support everyone else's right to point at him and laugh for his being an idiot.)

(And even with what he did, from a legal standpoint he broke no law. But I'd also support the legality of any team for firing him or anyone else that does that too.)

Kaepernick has every right to make a peaceful protest. If he wants to take a knee during the anthem to make a statement he can. He won't get arrested by the government for doing that and I would stand up and defend his right to protest in this manner and to not be arrested for it.

Don't mean I must agree with it or the way he does it or what he demeans in order to do it.

Further, he used a platform that wasn't his to make his protest. That is where the crux of the matter is. It was done on the NFL's time in the NFL's venue, while he was in an NFL uniform. The question was more to the point of "is the NFL standing by the demeaning of the Anthem?" They allowed this protesting on the NFL's time and venue.

Kaepernick's right to protest in that forum stopped at the door of the NFL.

He was well within his rights to do so. And people were well within their rights to criticize him. And to not buy products endorsed by him. He was not censored by the government.  Capitalism allows people to choose who they listen to, or watch, and act accordingly. Free market economy.
I certainly don't have an issue with these protesters across the country. But, they need to stay out of the roads (don't block traffic) and they need to speak out against the looters.  The ones causing injuries and damage need to be dealt with in such a manner that they get the message. Whether the phone rings or not.
If a shop owner wants to put a bullet in the heads of the serious trouble-makers (the ones who would set fire to a horse trailer with horses inside, or to a house with a child inside and block the fire trucks from rescuing them), I don't have an issue with it. As long as there is no collateral damage.  If little Miss/Mr college student is throwing bottles and rocks at cops, I have no problem with them getting a pepper spray, tear gas, or rubber bullet facial. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

Where I live some locals are supposed to be behind this. Town of about 3,000. County of about 18,000

We have been informed by protest organizers that on Saturday, June 6, at 1:45 P.M. there will be a peaceful gathering at the Rabun County Courthouse parking lot. Protesters will be there for approximately 15 minutes and then will walk silently to Main Street where they will stand on both sides of the street in silent protest until 3:45 P.M. The protest will close out around 4 P.M. with a prayer. Peaceful protest is a right afforded to us under the Constitution and the Clayton Police Department fully supports that right. Chief Andy Strait.

according to Kaepernicky he was NOT demaning the Anthem but unjust police enforcement against blacks.   Drew Brees of the Saints just got hammered by Lebron James and others on this issue when Drew made a comment about disgracing the flag/anthem, etc. and Lebron layed into him recently about his kneeing had nothing to do with the American Flag disgracing it or the Anthem but black unjust in the world mostly by the police.   I still stand with Drew Brees on this and you are right,  he was on the NFL time and not the time nor place to take a knee although he has a right to, I guess?

Jess from VA

Despite the self-serving side-stepping, If you kneel during the Anthem, you are disrespecting the flag and Republic (and maybe all those who ever fought and died for it).

If you can pick and choose, then I guess I can kneel for the Anthem to protest abrasive toilet paper, or my nagging mother in law.

To make this more accurate you need 130 more vehicles being destroyed, 60 more police vehicles on fire, 335 buildings on fire, 1,500 businesses destroyed and ransacked, etc.

And don't forget about the all the people and police injured and KILLED.  Actual, real DEATHS.

Don't they report on the innocent and police deaths where you get your news?  If yes, how can you post that picture in good faith?  If not, you really need to turn the channel because you are being lied to, still.
