Keep your Valk !

In France, the prices for a second-hand Valk have risen ! Two years ago, you could easily find one for, say, 13,500 $ and now the average price is 15,800 $.

In 2014, the official price in Europe was 24,500 $ and rapidly fell down to 20,000 $.

Asked recently a dealer how much I could sell my 2014/81,000 mls : 7,000 $, if I'm lucky !

Definitely keeping mine.  As I said many times even though I have both a new Goldwing Tour DCT and the Valk, I would never sell the Valk as it is so much fun to ride.  Definitely two different bikes.  The Valk is just raw power and minimal while the Goldwing is too refined.

In my area trade-in value has been holding steady at about $6,000.00 for the last 3 years. 
I'll ride it into the ground before that'll happen.

It's been so hot here I removed my windscreen.



I've owned many bike in 52yrs. of riding, this has to be one of the coolest, in more ways than one.
99% of hot air from the motor goes under and around you.
The double radiators have a lot to do with it.

Oh hell no...no way in Hell I am selling it!

I LOVE this bike man...god that motor is kick ass! 

In fact, I may buy a second one... Sell the Warrior and have two 1800s.

One I will make a touring bike for me and the old lady..

And...other one I strip down to a solo seat...and make it my romp around bike.

I just can't get enough of that drive train/suspension/brakes.  Brilliant bike... and I love how different it is...plus the low maintenance!

Been having great weather in the North East lately, got out for a day long ride.
Stopped for a snack about lunch time,
the pictures.

What a great bike, so far 47,000 trouble free miles.
Needless to say, "KEEP your Valk, I'm keeping mine."

NOT selling mine, I love how I can let it sit, go in and she starts right up and off we go.

There is nothing that I like to replace it with and it doesn't cost me but a bit of insurance to have around.


One of the reasons I love this bike is the thoroughness of the thought of the design process. I don't know if other bikes do this, but on the inside of the engine cases they are coated with a special coating that does not allow the oil to stick to the case and allows it and helps it to flow back down to the sump area.

This attention to detail and the proven miles of this drive line configuration is exactly why I love my bike and will not get rid of it.

Its also futuristic enough that most cannot tell if its old or new so its essentially a timeless design.

That's why you keep the Valk and buy the new Wing!  Ain't no way I'm selling my Valk, but I did get the new Tour DCT and love it.

Like your pics, always nice rode's and scenery  What is the short shield in your pic, is that the Honda shorty shield or custom cut down shield?

Yes that is the Honda Boulevard (shorty) windshield.
It doesn't do a heck of a lot, takes some pressure off chest area.

I do think it looks good so I bought one.
