So i have included a pic of the back of the stock seat I ordered. The picture with the disassembled light is how they were mounted on the rear where the saddlebags attach. I tried to get a closeup of my spark plug wires, does anyone know if those are the original spark plug wires or if they were changed out? Any other info about this motorycycle that you want to share please feel free. As I've said before, this is my first valkyrie. My back ground has been crotch rockets and harleys so I'm eager to learn about this bike. FYI, I almost bought one of these 15 years ago and passed it up like a fool lol I've thought about it since then, when I saw this one I snatched it up right away  :cooldude:

Wires look to be stock. That is an Interstate seat. It will be interesting to see what you come up with to mount it.

Blurry pictures but the spark plug wires look stock. That chrome valance around the wires is aftermarket

I agree, and have no knowledge on how that will mount on a std model. I suspect other then the lock at the front, there wont be. Of course, the strap will hold it in place.

As I mentioned, non of my 3 IS models even had the strap holding the seat down, but being an IS, that open square had a bracket to hold it in place laterally.

Std seat has a tab on the rear seat botton that slots in to the bracket on the fender to secure the rear of the seat.  On my diamond seat the tab is fiberglass not sure if it has a steel core on not.

Those are OEM wires, you can see the Cyl numbers and protective sheath on them.  I just did mine and found the wires themselves were fine but I did see some corrosion on the resistors that may have weakened the spark.  You can check them with a decent ohm meter.

What are you looking for, a consistent reading on each wire, matching the others?
