Shocks Question

I have 2 sets of shocks both OEM.
One set is MZO 003 and the other is MZO A41 is there a difference in the two?

52400-MZ0-003 was used on 97' and 98'. 52400-MZ0-A41 was used from 99' thru 03'. Both numbers fit the 1500C standard and 1500CT Tourer as the hardware to bolt them on are the same. The Interstate shows a completely different #.

But all 3 versions are interchangeable, but not always recommended to put a C/CT shock on an IS. The IS uses a heavier spring, and is recommended for the other models.

I replaced the stock shocks on my Standard with IS ones recently. (I'm a heavy guy.... )

I do like it a LOT! As Gordon said - the IS shocks are meant for higher weight..

'99 thru '03 were re-valved like the I/S units for a smoother ride. The spring rates stayed the same as the  '97-'98 shocks, as far as I could find out.
